The airport will have signage in English. Most restaurants in the city will have an English version of their menu. And, contrary to popular belief, the French are super friendly and enjoy practicing their English. As a courtesy, always ask first if they speak English--no one likes to be bombarded with questions in another language without preparation. Be patient and polite and you'll receive an equally pleasant response!

Yes! And while you'll have plenty of opportunities for wifi connectivity, I highly recommend looking into international plans your phone carrier might have. At&t has a plan that offers unlimited calls, text and data use for $10/day. I'm sure other service providers will have similar plans. It will be worth it for the Google Maps and Google Translate alone :-)
