Stephanie and Josiah first met in the fall of 2022, but it wasn’t until the summer of 2024 that they became close friends. Stephanie had just returned from a year in the Middle East, and Josiah had just graduated college. Their friend groups merged, and the two ended up spending a lot of time together that summer. They quickly bonded over their mutual love for sports and The Band CAMINO.

Stephanie first realized she might be interested in Josiah while watching him do ministry with a student on Marshall’s campus. It took Josiah a few more weeks to come around, but on October 3, 2024, he asked her out on their first date. A little over a week later after a couple more dates, they made it official on October 12.

Over the next 10 months, the two became inseparable, going to sporting events, traveling, watching movies. On August 13, 2025, Josiah proposed to Stephanie at Ritter Park in Huntington, WV, and, of course Stephanie said yes!

Six days after their engagement, Josiah moved to the Middle East to serve. The couple have spent most of their engagement apart, but their love continues to grow and deepen. God has written the most beautiful story for Stephanie and Josiah! They are so excited for their lives together and to celebrate with all of you!
