The average temp is 53 degrees to 79 degrees. Leakey has been suffering from drought conditions the past couple of years, so we're not anticipating rainfall.

The wedding is Saturday night at 5 p.m., but most rentals in Leakey require a 2 night minimum stay. The same is true of the cabins/houses at the venue where we're having the event. The drive is a good 4 hours and 15 minutes from the west side of Houston, without stopping and without hitting any traffic. To stay any less than one night makes for a really long weekend, so we're hoping to see everyone on Friday. If you can come earlier, 3rd nights are available at a 50% discount!

Around 6 p.m. on Friday night, we will be cooking burgers, hot dogs and sausage near the stage and/or pavilion (depending on weather). Water, sodas and tea will be available, along with a keg of beer. Each cabin is equipped with a kitchen and full-size refrigerator, with plenty of room to bring your choice of beverage and extra food for the weekend!

The wedding starts at 5 p.m. near the water (weather permitting). During the day, you're welcome to swim in the springs or the pool at the resort, or to check out Leakey and the surrounding areas. See "Things to Do" for more ideas.

The resort is allowing a late checkout at 2 p.m. If anyone would like to see Chris & Stephanie's place before heading out of town, this would be a good time to do that! It's only about 5 minutes away by car!

For those who wish to attend, we will be having an Easter service Sunday morning down by the water where the ceremony was held on Saturday. Time to be announced at a later date. Additionally, there are several churches in Leakey: Frio Canyon Baptist Church, Leakey Methodist Church, St. Raymond Catholic Church, Leakey Church of Christ, First Baptist Church, Church in the Valley, and New Fellowship Church.
