The Big Event will take place at The Springs Retreat in Leakey, Texas. Located less than 5 minutes away from Chris and Stephanie's house in Leakey, The Springs provides the perfect setting for the weekend event.

Leakey is about 285 miles from west Houston at 692 Evergreen St, Leakey, TX, and the resort has eight 2-bedroom cabins along with a few houses available for rent. The rooms have all been blocked for attendees of the wedding, but any not reserved by October 1st will be released for rent by the general public.

Info for wedding guests:

* 2-night minimum on all cabins and houses plus cleaning fees.

* Pet friendly with $100 pet deposit and notification ahead of time so rugs can be picked up.

Accommodations at The Springs (updated as of 1/24/2025):

7 of the 8 two bedroom cabins have been booked. The cost is $305 per night x 2 nights, $100 cleaning fee, $71 hotel taxes = $781 each

The Ranch House has been reserved.

The Farm House is STILL AVAILABLE (3 BR/2 BA) and is located directly across the street from the resort. I am awaiting final word on the rental rate for this property.

On all accommodations, if booking a 3rd night, the Springs will offer a 50% discount on the 3rd night.

Wedding guests can check in early by noon and check out late by 2 p.m.

More people are coming than we originally anticipated, but there are a lot of accommodations nearby.

If you're looking for more of a traditional 'motel,' there is only one, The Historic Leakey Inn. This is within 1/2 mile of The Springs.

River Haven and Pecan Farm are each within 3 miles of The Springs and offer a variety of accommodations (cabins, houses, 1 BR, multiple bedrooms, etc.).
