After both starting new jobs at Community Tissue Services within a couple months of each other in 2016, we both noticed each other early on, but never talked. I moved to third shift after six weeks of training and we didn't see much of each other over the next two years.

In late summer of 2018 I got promoted to a position in the Education & Training department and spent time on all shifts doing training and competency assessments. Travis had also been recently promoted to a CNC technician and had to be deemed competent in basic aseptic technique. As you may have guessed, that's how we finally ended up talking. At the end of a scalpel training session I asked everyone how they felt and Travis said something along the lines of "I feel so good, I could do it with my eyes closed!". So began the first of many funny quips to rile me up.

After a few weeks of brief interactions at work, he followed me on Instagram. On 9/15/18 he slid into my DMs, complimenting me on my artwork I had just posted. From there we were messaging chapter books back and forth all weekend. I don't think we've gone a day without texting or talking since then. September 15th is what I lovingly call our "talkaversary". Our first date was a lunch date at Rusty Taco downtown before work one day. That fall was filled with many fun dates together and Travis settled into his first house. Then he asked me to be his girlfriend on New Year's Eve as the ball dropped.

The following March Travis adopted Atlas from one of my coworkers. He was a spunky puppy and loved to bite me, much to my horror. After a few months with Atlas I decided I wanted a puppy of my own... and I got Halo in June. They had a rocky start together, but soon developed a brother/sister bond. We now had our little family of four and had lots of fun adventures that summer.

Over the next few years we went on a lot of fun trips and achieved new things together. We are excited to continue our journey together as a married couple and appreciate all the love and support we have received so far.
