This neighborhood restaurant/bar is a personal favorite of Stephanie and Alex. Great food and drinks with an awesome patio nestled in the beautiful Highland Park area. Also, our wedding venue, The Donnelly House, is only a block away.
A Birmingham establishment for over three decades located in the heart of Lakeview, which has remained mostly unchanged since opening. Alex considers this a perfect bar. Stephanie and Alex enjoy meeting up with friends here for happy hour or on the weekend. Also, a short walk from Jack Brown's, Moe's BBQ, and more!
One of Stephanie and Alex's favorite Birmingham breweries with delicious beers and a large outdoor seating area. You can usually find a food truck parked outside too!
An all time favorite for Alex. This restaurant offers po' boys, gumbo, and other delicious Cajun classics in a quaint house with patio seating. After you eat and have a few drinks there, walk across the street to The Juniper for some upscale cocktails.
The Garage is another Birmingham staple Stephanie and Alex frequent. Beers on ice, made-to-order sandwiches, and a back patio unlike any other. Perfect place for a casual get together and lunch.
Unfortunately, the bar where Stephanie and Alex went on their first date has since closed, but the owner opened a similar bar not far away. The House of Found objects is know for their eclectic drink menu that names their drinks after local patrons. If you go, ask for the Blair Gaither cocktail!
This bar/restaurant is 21+ only, and is located on the historic Morris Ave in downtown Birmingham. They have amazing cocktails and their food menu is great too! Also within walking distance to other downtown bars and restaurants.
This Birmingham borough is one of our favorite weekend spots. They have great food options including Saw's BBQ, Luna's, and Post Office Pies. Grab a drink at one of our favorite bars, 41st Street Pub or get some local brews at Avondale Brewery.
The Vulcan statue is the largest cast iron statue in the world, and is the city symbol of Birmingham, Alabama, reflecting its roots in the iron and steel industry. The 56-foot tall statue depicts the Roman god Vulcan, god of the fire and forge, with ironworking equipment. Overlooking the beautiful Birmingham skyline, this park and museum offers both beautiful views of Birmingham as well as historical information about this beloved city.
