Steph and CJ met in highschool. CJ always saw Steph walking in the hallway but had no clue who she was. By chance of luck one day, Steph was a wearing a hoodie with her last name on the back. So what does any normal teenager do? They look them up on fb of course! So from there CJ added Steph as a friend and she gladly accepted. After a few flirty compliments on her photos, Steph made the first official move and gave him her number. They talked and texted for about a month and then went on their first date to the Northampton Fireworks that summer. A few weeks later he officially asked her to be his girlfriend.
Flash forward 11 YEARS LATER. Yes, 11 years, sigh. We can blame COVID for at least 1 of those years for ruining CJ's plan ;) It's the summer of 2021 and it's the last day of the Northampton Fair, when the fireworks are. I had already been there earlier in the day with my mom and sister, so I wasn't really sure if I wanted to go there again for the fireworks that night. Of course CJ talked me into going. So we drove down, tried to get some funnel cake but the line was too long. So we walked back to the same spot where we had our first date. Right behind the highschool baseball field. I for sure thought he would propose then since that was our first date, but then again it's been 11 years so I also didn't have my hopes up, LOL. BUT at the end of the fireworks when I got up, I turned around and there he was on one knee. YAAS it finally happened! We have been so thankful to have all the fun adventures and traveling together over the past decade, but we're even more excited for our next big adventure and can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
