TVC will be the closest airport but it might not be the most affordable.
You may also want to look into GRR (Grand Rapids) which is approx. 2.5 hrs away or DTW (Detroit) 3.5 hrs away.
We live and are getting married in a seasonal vacation area. There are a ton of hotels, motels, VRBOs/AirBnBs all around the area.
We live in Beulah which is a beautiful lakeside (Crystal Lake) town near a lot of outdoor activities. There are many restful retreats to choose from. We are close to Lake Michigan, a cute little shopping town, Frankfort, and Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Equidistant from our town to our venue is a small city, Traverse City. It's a great spot to stay if you enjoy shopping local boutiques, restaurants, wineries, casinos, and world class golfing. There are also tons of beaches and water related activities.
