We first met in 2019 while on pre-deployment for the SPMAGTF-SC19. Chris swears, he remembers the exact moment he saw me — in the HITT center on base. I, however, have absolutely no memory of this (sorry, babe). Our first actual interaction was 8 hours of card games on the tarmac at Cherry Point, waiting out a delayed flight to take us to Honduras. I have a picture of Chris sitting crisscross-applesauce mid card play, its in the Photos on this website go find it! Fast forward to early 2021, when we reconnected. We started spending time together — casually at first — and shared a lot in common, CrossFit Cult Goers (where, for the record, I usually beat him in workouts), Workaholics, Unfiltered Conversationalists, and Goofball Extraordinaires. He was respectful from the start — almost too respectful. Early on when we were still beginning to talk, he pointblank texted me, “Are you flirting with me?” because the Marine Corps had thoroughly scared him off from ever assuming anything when it came to female Marines. I still laugh about it, I have never been asked that before! Our first real date also didn’t go as planned. Partway through dinner at Sneads Ferry’s finest dinner establishment, Rick’s, Chris got called away on a fire call. I knew he was a volunteer Fire Fighter, I didn’t exactly know what that meant for me long term.&nbsp;I paid the tab and went home — classic. But honestly, it was a perfect preview of the dependable, all-in kind of person he is. This is the first time I was left on a date thinking, “Where the heck did that guy go?” We began going steady around April 2021. I told Chris we weren’t “official” until he formally asked me to be his girlfriend. On October 3, 2021, I came home to find flowers on my kitchen counter and Chris asking me to be his girlfriend. Since then, life has been… chaotic, hilarious, SOOO smelly, fun, and never boring. We’re completely opposite in all the right ways. We’re best friends who can be completely ourselves with each other, and life together just makes sense. We’re so excited to celebrate this wild, wonderful thing we’ve built — and to have all of you along for the next chapter. Can't Wait to See You All!Chris, Steph &amp; Princess!

The Fairfield Inn &amp; Suites will be where our hotel block will be available, copy and paste the link below into your browser. Across the street from the hotel is a local brewery Fonta Flora, as well as a Poke bowl place. There is a Fonta Flora trail just down the road that is great for move your legs break. Stephanie stayed at this hotel in October and it was a wonderful stay. The staff was very accommodating and the facilities are well kept. You will be most comfortable here!
