Rocklin Quarry District
Scott and I selected this location for our wedding due to its rich history and inherent beauty. The Rocklin Historical Society has done an excellent job preserving the history of Rocklin in this charming area. As both of us are passionate about history, we couldnt imagine a better place to celebrate our special day. We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to my mother for discovering the stunning Old Saint Mary’s Chapel, which is the perfect venue that matches everything we envisioned for our wedding. Additionally, we would like to thank the Rocklin Historical Society for being such wonderful hosts.
Old Saint Mary’s Chapel
Old St. Mary’s Chapel was built in 1883 as St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church. It served as a Catholic Church for 100 years until the congregation outgrew it. Various religious organizations used it for services until 2004 when it was slated for demolition. The Rocklin Historical Society moved the building in 2005 and restored it to save it from demolition. Volunteers then went to work to transform Rocklin’s oldest building into the beautiful chapel you see today.
