Stephanie Dipak Patel, born January 5th 1987 is the youngest daughter of Ila and Dipak Patel and sister of Tarang Patel.

Aaron Chiu-Yin Lee, born July 25th 1988, is the oldest son of Stephen and Renee Lee and brother of Karlena Lee.

Their story began on two opposite coasts with Stephanie being born and raised in Connecticut while Aaron was in California. After their childhood years, both moved cities and states for college. Stephanie left for University of Sciences in Philadelphia while Aaron switched climes and left sunny California for the New England cold in Boston.

The two bonded over their passion for travel. Just two months after starting to date, they found themselves dressed up lederhosen and dirndl at Munich for the world renowned Oktoberfest along with some of their best friends. Shortly thereafter, they would be headed to the Southern Hemisphere on the long flight to Australia to visit Sydney and Melbourne which had been on both their to-do lists. While there

Given their love of travel, its no surprise that the proposal would be somewhere fun and international. In the fall of September 2022, the couple found themselves in Spain at the scenic El Retiro Park where in front of the lake and paddleboats, Aaron got down on one knee to pop the question.
