Live like a local! Charlotte is home to 75 breweries (and counting) all with their own unique twist. Check out some of our favorites:
Craft Tasting Room and Growler Shop
One of our local favorites in Charlotte. They offer local craft beers and ample indoor/outdoor seating to enjoy plenty of small bites like local cheese and charcuterie boards. Bring a deck of cards and you'll never want to leave.
Old Mecklenburg Brewery
Head over to lo-so to experience a german style bier garden with tons of outdoor space and a great soft pretzel.
Hop Fly
HopFly is known for its hoppy beers and lagers, but the team is always experimenting with new things, so expect three to four new beer releases a week. Katsu Kart food truck, which serves transitional Japanese-style katsu sandwiches, is on-site every week from Thursday through Sunday.
Suffolk Punch
Located directly on the Rail Trail near the New Bern Station, the unique space features both a refined yet rustic indoor area (think greenery everywhere) and an expansive patio and outdoor bar. From lagers and IPAs to stouts and sours, you won’t regret having a taste—better yet, get a flight to try them all.
Wooden Robot
This brewery is inspired by tradition (wooden) and innovation (robot) in its production process and atmosphere (think clean lines with wood and brick elements plus an outdoor patio). We recommend taking a 10 minute walk over to try the Good Morning Vietnam beer, which is the brewery’s best-known and top-selling beer.
Triple C Brewing Co
For a laid-back, no pressure environment with award-winning beers on tap (like the Baby Maker Double IPA and 3C West Coast IPA), Triple C is the place to go. The brewery also has an outdoor patio with picnic tables, an on-site pizza trailer
Explore Downtown
Whether you're looking for coffee shops, boutiques or just looking to stroll through the different areas of Charlotte, we have enough sub-areas to keep you busy! For those staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, you will be located in the heart of Southend, home of the Breweries and pop up shops. Keep your eyes up for Saturday & Sunday morning for local vendors at the Atherton Mill. If you're looking for something more hipster, take the light rail over to Noda for local artists lining the streets. Plaza Midwood is also a great option for lunch spots but parking can be a little more difficult.
White Water Rafting Center

This outdoor paradise for adventure seekers has numerous outdoor recreational activities such as whitewater rafting in the world's largest artificial whitewater river., zip lining, and more! For a more calm approach, opt for hiking amongst the many trails available and end your day with a beer and brewery style food.
