Steve and Amy matched on Hinge in late February 2022 and had their first date at Carruth Cellars in Little Italy on February 28th, talking and laughing over a tasting flight of reds and whites. One date quickly gave way to many more, as Steve and Amy (often accompanied by their beloved canine companions, Giggs and Pepper) adventure-d their way throughout San Diego county, trying out new places and experiences. The list of locations they enjoyed together would eventually be nicknamed the list of "Ruined Places," a nod to an inside joke from one of their first few dates in which Steve commented sarcastically about "ruining" new date spots by experiencing them with Amy.

The pursuit of adventure also drew Steve and Amy (or 'SteAmy', as they affectionately nicknamed themselves) to new boundaries as the couple traveled to unique destinations outside of SD - Palm Springs, Denver, Napa, Kauai, Prague, Florida, Sedona, and Chicago...just to name a few. In May 2023, they embarked on one of the biggest adventures yet when Steve and Giggs moved into Amy's downtown condo with her and Pepper.

On August 22, 2023, Steve led Amy by the hand toward what would turn out to be their 300th "Ruined Place" - a rooftop deck overlooking the beautiful Torrey Pines beach - where he asked her to marry him as the San Diego sun set on the horizon. Amy enthusiastically accepted the proposal, and the two took to planning the celebration of their lifetimes.

That brings us (and you) to where we are today - excited for the opportunity to share our love with all of our favorite people! It all started with the wine - from our first date at Carruth to our first weekend away in Temecula - and it seems only fitting that our forever starts at the beautiful Bel Vino winery. We hope to see you there as we "ruin" our first location together as husband and wife ;)
