If you have seen The Office, then you get the gist of Steven &amp; Ashley's story. If you haven't watched it, you will be denied entrance to the wedding...Just kidding! ;) Steven and Ashley met for the first time on May 13th, 2019 when Ashley started working at the same company where Steven was working. During the welcome breakfast for Ashley that morning, she made a joke that did not land and that's when she first sparked Steven's interest. Ashley was getting used to the new environment for the first several weeks of work, but developed an interest in Steven when he was able to identify the exact Red Hot Chili Peppers song she was playing in her car as she drove past the front door of the office one morning. After a company BBQ a couple months later, a group of friends at the office decided to keep the party going in downtown Santa Cruz which was the catalyst for this relationship's beginning. The two were really hitting it off and after a few drinks, Steven asked if he could put his arm around Ashley. In that moment, they both felt something special that they knew was the real thing. Life threw so many challenges their way in the beginning of the relationship, but both feel that they have come out of that period much stronger as individuals and as a couple. Since then, their relationship has been filled with countless concerts, trips, and jokes that have made up some of the best experiences of their lives so far. They have become a strong support system and have an incredible love for each other. Steven and Ashley are so excited to start the journey of being a married couple and to enjoy all of the life changes that will follow! Thank you for taking the time to read our story and we hope you can celebrate with us on August 12th, 2023! Fun Fact: We did not plan this when we picked our date, but we will be sharing this wedding date with Ashley's great grandparents and Steven's brother &amp; sister-in-law (Brian &amp; Katy Eichhorn)!

Bally's Lake Tahoe

Transportation

A shuttle service will be available for all guest to utilize that will run between Bally's Lake Tahoe and Round Hill Pines Beach Resort. The shuttle service begins at Bally's (side entrance) at 3pm and will run in 15–20-minute intervals depending on traffic. The last shuttle will depart from Round Hill Pines no later than 10pm to return guests to the hotel. If you will be utilizing the shuttle service and will not be staying at Bally's, please plan to Uber or park in Bally's free parking lot in advance. If you prefer to transport yourself in your own vehicle, please note that parking at Round Hill Pines is limited this time of year, and we cannot have guests arrive prior to 2pm.

Getting to South Lake Tahoe

For those flying, the Reno/Tahoe International Airport is the closest place to South Lake Tahoe to fly into. The airport is about an hour away from our hosted hotel, Bally's. For those driving, please note that you will need to travel through some rural areas on mountain roads to get to South Lake.

There are tons of hiking trails in the Lake Tahoe area including the one where Steven proposed to Ashley, Cold Creek to High Meadows trail. We recommend using the All Trails app to check out what trails match the length and difficulty you are looking for.

Hiking

There is tons to do at Ski Run Marina! You can rent kayaks, jet skis, paddle boards, or go parasailing. You can also relax on the beach and sip on one of the famous Woodys at Riva's!

The casino strip in South Lake Tahoe is another fun spot! It's great if you like gambling, but there are also bars, escape rooms, and live shows. In terms of casinos, you have Harvey's, Harrah's, Hard Rock, and Bally's to choose from!
