Hi, I’m Taylor! I'm thrilled to be a part of this wonderful and exciting journey as we celebrate the union of my sister, Kiley. We have shared countless memories and celebrated many life milestones together and I feel blessed to join her and Steven in this celebration as Kiley’s maid of honor.
FAVORITE MEMORY WITH KILEY: One unforgettable memory that stands out was when we had an epic karaoke night with Steven, Jordan, and his girlfriend that unfolded into hours of nonstop laughter and music. From the first off-key note to the final encore, the energy was infectious as we belted out to our favorite songs. Kiley's enthusiastic singing and encouragement towards the rest of us had us all cracking up. Our voices were pretty terrible, but the joy of that night and the fun we had singing together was unforgettable. Kiley's enthusiasm and unwavering encouragement turned the night into an amazing memory for all of us. While our singing voices might not have been award-winning, the happiness we created together remains etched in our hearts. Here's to a lifetime of love and cherished memories for Kiley and Steven.
Jason Steinbeck - Best Man
Hi, I’m Jason, Steven’s younger brother! Growing up, we have always been close and enjoyed the same activities. From playing sports, to hanging with friends, or building things like potato guns, I always admired and looked up to Steven. To this day, I feel the same way. Every call or chance we get to talk together, I learn something new that immediately sparks the thought in my head, only Steven, and reminds me of our younger selves. This is a new chapter in life, and I am blessed to have a brother/best friend to keep it creative, thoughtful, and fun. To our next chapters 🍾!! FAVORITE MEMORY WITH STEVEN: Cardboard kitty prank at the campground when we were 10. If you know, you know.
India Zappia - Maid of Honor
I first met Kiley in my Anatomy and Physiology II course at the University of Arizona. We just happened to be sitting next to each other during one of the lectures. She’ll tell you I was looking over at her that day because she was on her phone the entire time, which yes she was, but no that was not the reason. She was wearing a baby blue, tie-dye Hollister hoodie, and I just thought it was really cool. Me telling her I liked it at the end of class prompted a 5 minute conversation and an invite to make gnocchi with her roommates. Who knew a low-key impulsive and possibly risky situation -- I didn't know this girl and she was inviting me to her dorm? The same applies for her -- was the beginning of a beautiful friendship? We have been through thick and thin, and I look forward to the many more adventures we’ll have. Now, for Steven. Well, Steven has just always been there, always in the way, I try to ignore him but he won’t go away. JUST KIDDING. Although I met Steven soon after becoming acquaintances with Kiley, I didn't really get to know him well until Kiley and I became close, and I flew out to Los Angeles to see her during the pandemic. Looking back, I am grateful for the time we all spent together because any part of Kiley’s life that is important to her is important to me too. I love them both dearly, and I am so happy to be an active part of this special day. FAVORITE MEMORY WITH KILEY: Steven, Kiley, and I went on a hike in Malibu. We had fallen asleep at the beach the day before and had major sunburns to show for it but were powering through to get to the top of Sandstone Peak. Of course, I had to make fun of her for falling behind.
Ryan McCombs - Groomsman
Hi, I'm Ryan! I met Steven for the first time when I was 12. Since then, Steven has watched me grow into a real person with a real personality, and I have watched Steven grow into a great man who I know will always take care of my sister. We have bonded over our common interest in history, gaming, investing/real estate, and a conspiracy theory every now and then. It's also been great living so close to Steven and Kiley at UCSD. We've had family dinners, and Steven will ride his mountain bike next to me on my electric scooter. I'm excited to see Steven and my sister continue to grow together.
FAVORITE MEMORY WITH STEVEN: The perfect sales job, selling parachutes to office workers. I have never laughed harder than Steven explaining all of the ins and outs of this. And all I'm saying is, it's not a bad idea or business plan. When you have the chance, ask Steven about it. I guarantee you'll get a good laugh out of it too.
Elia Sanchez - Bridesmaid
Hi, I'm Elia! I met Kiley freshman year at the U of A. I was moving into my dorm when Kiley peaked her head in from next door and introduced herself. We shared a bathroom that year, deeming ourselves the Pod Squad, and two years later we shared an apartment, but most importantly, we share many memories. From Bachelor nights, to game nights, to real talks, we've gone through a lot together and watched each other grow as well. We've shared laughs and tears, and now, I get to be a part of yet another amazing life moment with her. FAVORITE MEMORY WITH KILEY: There's two really. I love all the late night trips to drive thrus in Tucson, usually Sonic. We were always satisfying our sweet tooths with slushies or ice cream. The other is when Kiley, India, and I all got Covid together. We sat in Kiley's room for a week straight taking turns playing this car game on her TV and watching Euphoria. At first, we didn't know you could get games on a Fire Stick, but by the end of our quarantine, we were pros at the zombie monster truck game.
Alex Paley - Groomsman
Hi, my name is Alex Paley! I have had the pleasure of maturing and becoming an adult with Steven since second grade. Over the years, looking back we have all been able to experience countless hysterical and or exciting memories that I will never forget. Some of these memories with Steven I will cherish include snowboarding trips, surfing, going to Las Vegas, getting dubs on fortnite/C.O.D, trolling people on Xbox, playing golf, and lighting off fireworks at the beach. It has been an incredible experience getting to know the Steinbeck family over the years and at this point, I feel as if we have a relationship like that of family. I am so excited for soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Steinbeck to grow in so many ways and I can’t wait for what the future holds for these two. Cheers!! FAVORITE MEMORY WITH STEVEN: Ouiji Board when we were kids where Steven was controlling the planchette with a magnet under the table. When we all asked the “ghost” what it wanted, Steven had corresponded to the group “Benji”. We were kids at the time so it seemed real, but I’ll leave the outcome of this prank up for imagination.
Emma Torrey - Bridesmaid
Hey, I'm Emma! Kiley and I met freshman year as college suitemates at U of A and became good friends shortly after! We also shared an apartment my junior year. In between, we made lots of fun memories and went on many adventures together! FAVORITE MEMORY WITH KILEY: On Bachelor Night our freshman year, we ran out of wine. All 5, yes 5, squeezed into India's small Fiat to run to CVS to get more. We were on a mission, and no one could stop us, except the RAs. We snuck the bottle back into the dorms, feeling like we were on a secret mission and going up and down floors to avoid the rounding RAs, and laughed the rest of the night.
Benji Paley - Groomsman
Hey, my name is Benjamin Paley, but you can call me Ben or Benji. I met Steven way back in second grade through Jason. Since then we have made countless memories including snowboarding, mountain biking, paddle boarding, taking trips and much more. It has been a pleasure growing up with him. I am so stoked to see the new addition to the Steinbeck family and I can’t wait to see what their future holds for them. Cheers! FAVORITE MEMORY WITH STEVEN: When we rode our motorcycles down Latigo Canyon!
Hayley Knoll - Bridesmaid
Hi, I'm Hayley. I met Kiley over 10 years ago at our youth organization Job's Daughter's, where she was my big sister. In addition, I was with Kiley during her first phone call with Steven, and she even spent the night at my house before their first date so we could do her makeup together! I'm so overjoyed to see Kiley and Steven get married because they are the perfect match! FAVORITE MEMORY WITH KILEY: When we were in middle school and high school, we were practically attached at the hip, hanging out almost everyday. We would take turns sleeping at each others houses, talking non stop, and would convince our moms that we NEEDED boba or acai or whatever we decided was important that day. Just ask our moms how we ended up with our “Jesus bracelets.” We always had so much fun together and only got into trouble every so often. She became my big sister, and I know our bond will last a lifetime.
Jordan Friedman - Groomsman
I have been close family friends with Kiley since the day she was born, and we have been close friends ever since. I actually met Steven as he dropped her off at home from their first date, and we hit it off immediately due to our shared interest in music, wine, and steak. Since then, we often get together with our families, as couples, or just drop by visits. FAVORITE MEMORY WITH STEVEN: Early on, Steven became a pro at cooking steaks. I came over to the McCombs house one night, and Steven was showing the family his new sous vide. That was an amazing steak!
Kali Sol Steinbeck - Junior Bridesmaid
Hi! I’m Kali Sol! Ki and Steven are my aunt and uncle, and I’m so thrilled to be part of their wedding. I met Auntie Ki on their second date, and since that moment, I knew that it was a forever thing! FAVORITE MEMORY WITH KILEY: My first memory with my aunt and uncle was walking down to the park and playing with their dogs. My absolute favorite memory was at Auntie Kiley’s parent’s house during their holiday party. Christmas time was so much fun with the family; we made gingerbread houses with all the aunts, uncles, and cousins and played pool with her dad. She even taught me how to make pizzelle cookies.
