Our minimum recommendation to enjoy all wedding activities is July 28th through August 2nd.
Do I need a passport?
Yes, you must have a valid passport to travel from the United States to Greece. As a general rule, passports must be valid for six months beyond the date the traveler will exit the United States.
What is the currency?
Euros. However, credit cards are generally accepted everywhere on the island.
What is the July weather like in Kefalonia?
Typically, you can expect 80-90 degrees during the day and 60-70 degrees at night.
What if we don't speak Greek?
Most of the population speaks some degree of English, especially those in service and hospitality. All menus and street signs are translated in English.
Do I need a rental car?
It depends where you stay. If you stay in Lassi or Argostoli you can use our transportation for wedding events and taxis for other travel. If you stay in more remote parts of the island or plan to do a lot of exploring I would recommend renting a car.
Is there Uber or Lyft in Kefalonia?
No! They just have taxis on the island.
How do I rent a car?
Avis, Enterprise, Hertz and Budget are all located in the Kefalonia Aiport (EFL). Most cars offered are manual, so be mindful when choosing.
Do I have to stay at White Rocks Hotel?
No, you are welcome to stay wherever you would like. There are plenty of great hotels, villas and AirBnB's too choose from!
Will the wedding events be held indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony will be inside the church with AC, but all other events will be outdoors.
