Ella met Stuart when he was a freshman interested in Ballroom Dance at Carleton.

As a sophomore, she saw potential in him and immediately began plotting and scheming to get him to stay on the team.

They quickly formed a dance partnership and began practicing together.

They developed a beautiful friendship and did lots of normal friend things. No one ever suspected they would ever end up together years down the road.

They danced together for 3 years, maintaining that dance partners could remain "just friends."

Stuart visited Ella in Oberlin and met her friends and family.

Shortly after, Ella confessed her feelings to Stuart while sitting and talking in Carleton's Japanese Gardens. (Stuart thought she meant as friends but it was clarified later that day.)

As their new relationship grew, they continued to goof off.

They traveled to competitions with the team.

They started attending holidays together and got to know each others families.

They performed their first professional showcase at Dancers Studio "Homecoming" in 2022.

Under Dancers Studio, they grew as dancers, performers, and teachers.

All while adventuring together!

They competed as professionals for the first time in Boston in November 2023.

They moved in to a house together where they could host friends and family and fell in love with the city of St. Paul.

Christmas was spent in Washington with both families together...

And Stuart proposed on New Years Eve, Ella's favorite holiday!

They celebrated on Vashon Island.

And were quick to tell everyone they knew.

As an engaged couple they have continued to dance together...

And are endlessly grateful for the adventures and memories to come!
