You are very much encouraged (but not obligated) to wear traditional Indian clothing for each event. We do not expect our guests to purchase new clothing as we know we are asking them to travel a long ways. But you are encouraged to join in on the fun.

The most essential part of the dress code for an Indian wedding is to definitely wear color. Bright, festive color is always in style for an Indian wedding no matter what the season or venue. Colors to avoid? Black. Guests should also try to avoid wearing white or red during the Indian ceremony. That's reserved for the grooms!
