The countdown begins... We cannot wait to celebrate with you all! Please take a moment to review the day of details.

Arrival:

We are so excited to have you join us, at The Penthouse Hyde Park! Please do not arrive before 4:30pm, as the wedding party will be taking pictures and getting ready. The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm sharp- so don't be late

Parking:

There are limited parking spaces at the venue, so please carpool with loved ones and friends! If you have not confirmed parking with Sydney, please reach out ASAP.

Guestbook Cameras:

To fill our guest book, we have rented cameras for everyone to enjoy throughout the evening. There are going to be instructions on how to use the cameras on every table. Please do not throw away or take cameras home- we need to return them. So PLEASE, enjoy and snap lots of shots!

Airbnb/Vrbo

If you are interested in looking into Airbnb's or Vrbo's and are confused on what location to look into, we recommend looking into the Streeterville, and River North neighborhoods for a more downtown feel. We currently live in Old Town, and it is a bit quieter and slower paced than the downtown areas. Other neighborhoods to explore include Lincoln Park, Lakeview East, and Wrigleyville.

Hotels

There are many hotel options located in the Chicagoland area. Neighborhood recommendations for the downtown feel and being close to the Magnificent Mile and shopping, look into Streeterville and River North. There are some hotel options located in Hyde Park, if you are interested in staying close to the venue (about a 5-10 minute walk to the venue).

Streeterville/River North/Near North

These neighborhoods are right in the heart of downtown Chicago. Here you will find the Magnificent Mile, shopping, and the true downtown feel for the city. Located near the river, you have great options for walking around the city.

Old Town/Gold Coast

Our home neighborhood, Old Town! The Old Town/Gold Coast neighborhoods are about one mile north of the downtown area, and are a little quieter and slower than the other options. Going down Wells Street, there are tons of food and bar options. Nice access to the Lakefront for a crisp fall Lakeshore trail walk.

Lincoln Park/Lakeview East

Both these neighborhoods are north of Old Town/Gold Coast and have a lot of great food options. Less high rises and more brownstones inhabit this area.

Wrigleyville

Home to the Chicago Cubs! Wrigleyville is located a few miles north of downtown, but has a ton of nightlife on it's own. Traveling down Clark, there is blocks of bars to wander through and hangout at.

Hyde Park

Hyde Park is where the wedding venue is located and it about 8 miles South of the Magnificent Mile and the downtown area. Hyde Park is home to the Osaka Garden and the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.

Getting Around Chicago

CTA Public Transit (Trains and Buses)

There are multiple city transportation options, including the elevated trains(The "L") and buses. You can map out public transit directions by looking it up on Google Maps, Apple Maps, or any mapping option on your phone. To buy tickets, you can go to a train entrance and purchase physical tickets, or you can download the "Ventra" app and purchase virtual tickets on your phone. City tranit is a cheap and easy option for moving between neighborhoods from downtown up to Wrigleyville.
