Bryan and Sydney met in the summer of 2018, just a couple of months after Sydney moved to Seattle from Washington DC.

At a cozy wine bar, downtown near the stadiums, the two were seated next to one another during a work event on the night their company was receiving an award. As fate would have it, they instantly fell into conversation and spent the evening talking and laughing with one another.

Unbeknownst to them, their coworkers caught on to their undeniable chemistry and jokingly decided to make the pair go up to receive the award, while they all ditched the event for a nearby bar. Sydney and Bryan ended up having a marvelous time together trying to track the group down and they now fondly thank those coworkers for that prank, which brought them together.

They dated for almost four years - during which they moved to the suburbs, bought their first house, and welcomed their Samoyed, Sochi, to the family - until Bryan proposed in autumn 2022 during a trip to Chicago.

The couple has spent the last year and a half planning their nuptials and are excited to share this romantic and wonderful day with the people they love the most.
