It all started back in 2001. Little Chuckie Wright started Kindergarten at Lexington Elementary School. Sydney was already in the 1st grade (ooo a cougar!!) She crossed out little Chuckie in her yearbook that year. Did they have a confrontation? Did he budge her in line for the water fountain? We truly do not have the answer as to what was going through 6 yr old Sydney's brain. But alas, it clearly was not love at first sight!

Syd and Chuck grew up together! Syd's neighborhood backed up to The Castle, where Chuck's Grandma and Grandpa Wright lived! Syd's next door neighbor and BFF, Ben Leake, was best friends with Connor (Chuck's cousin) and Chuck! Ben introduced everyone and thus, the best of friendships began! They all spent their summers playing flashlight tag, swimming, and doing slip n slides!

In the Winter of 2008, Sydney's 8th Grade Volleyball Team Won the State Volleyball Tournament. Chuck was there in face paint cheering them on!

Chuck asked Sydney to homecoming in 2011 by telling her "we both don't have anyone else to go with." A terrible way to ask a girl to homecoming, complimented by terrible outfits!!

Chuck and Sydney attend Prom! (He asked nicely this time) Love was (finally) in the air!!

Chuck's first trip to visit Sydney in Los Angeles- He surprised her! This was taken right after he touched the Pacific Ocean for the first time!

Sydney attended UCLA while Chuck was at the University of Alabama! Distance was rough and tough! Thanks to many (manyy) airline miles from Dan Freed, Chuck and Syd were able to visit each other at school a couple of times a year! Chuck came out for a few of Sydney's Sorority Formals! Here they are at one!

Moment of Silence for a couple of breakups in here. God Bless our friends and family who dealt with our Ross and Rachel dynamic for a few years!!

Covid hit hard in March of 2020. Dan Freed retrieved the LA "kids" and brought them back to Lexington to wait out the Pandemic. Chuck was living and working in New York City at the time and when Syd told him she was headed home, he hopped on a flight as well. Flirting immediately ensued and they officially got back together during a trip to Hannibal, Missouri. Sydney had been wanting to do the Mark Twain experience for a while and Chuck made it happen! This is a photo of them painting Tom Sawyer's fence. It was Heaven. Of course their permanent 3rd and 4th wheels (Kaley and Gabby) were also in attendance!

Chuck's New York office finally lets him go fully remote and he moves across the country to be with Sydney. It was a dream come true!

On April Fools Day Chuck asked Sydney to marry him. Here is the story for those of you who don't know!: Every weekend Chuck would wake Sydney up and take her on the same hike. She didn't particularly like doing the hike but he always encouraged her to do it by playing her favorite songs while they were hiking. One of the songs Sydney lovedddd to sing along to was 'Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree'. Sydney always thought it was a song about a dude that had been in prison- but apparently its about a dude that had been at war! Anyway, during their hike Sydney saw a big beautiful yellow ribbon tied around a gorgeous tree. She GASPED! Sydney couldn't believe it! "How funny!" She thought! Chuck realized that Syd was not getting it and said " Syd, its happening!" and Sydney blacked out and does not remember the rest!
