Things to do in Lexington, IL

We know Lexington, IL isn't the easiest place to get to, but for what it lacks in accessibility, it sure makes up for with that sweet sweet midwest hospitality and small town charm! Head down Main Street to grab some grub, taste delicious beer, or get a yummy ice cream sundae! If you are lucky you might just run into Sydney's Grandpa Hughie sitting in front of Peely's Pool Hall! If you stop and say hi you are guaranteed a hand shake and that famous Hughie laugh! We can't wait for you to see where we grew up! This small town is so dear to our hearts and an integral part of our love story! We hope you find a little piece of heaven in it, like we do.

Things to do in Bloomington, IL

Those of you who are traveling will most likely be staying one of the two hotels we have blocked for the wedding: Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal and The Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. These two hotels are located right across the street from each other in the heart of Uptown Normal!

Wrigley Field

Although the Dan Freed has forbidden Sydney from ever rooting for the Chicago Cubbies, Wrigley Field is full of history and wonder! It was built in 1914, making it the second-oldest ballpark in the major leagues! Dan Freed would describe it as a piece of sh*t, but Chuck's family would not! Chuck's mom and dad are OG Cub Fans! The one thing Dan cannot argue with? Those Cubbies sure do have some good uniforms!

The Cubs are playing at home the weekend you will be there!!
