Some love stories begin with perfect timing… ours began with being 30 minutes late.

To be fair, I genuinely thought we were meeting at 7:30pm. He, however, correctly remembered that we said 7:00pm. So while he patiently waited outside the bar, I was casually living my life thinking I was perfectly on time.

When I finally arrived and realized my mistake, I was mortified and apologized about a hundred times. What he didn’t know yet was that this was not a one-time accident - being late is simply one of my personality traits. Thankfully, he’s very patient (sometimes hahaha) and sometimes I'm on time too haha.

What started with a funny misunderstanding turned into the best relationship either of us could have imagined. Somewhere between all the conversations, laughs, everyday moments, and growing together through life, we became best friends, partners, and each other’s home.

Then came the proposal - and somehow he managed to completely surprise me.

During a vacation together, he rented a boat and took us to a small island where we spent the entire day together, just the two of us. He had secretly planned every detail, including a tripod for pictures and convincing me to bring a nice dress for our “Christmas photos” at sunset.

As the sun was setting at the end of the day, on the most beautiful little island, he asked me to marry him. And of course, I said yes.

Now we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by all the people we love most...
