Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?
Once you receive your formal wedding invitation, we invite you to RSVP via our wedding website. After invitations are mailed, a new RSVP tab will become available on our website.
Directions, Transportation and Accomodations
What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?
The easiest way to get to and from our wedding venue will be by car or ride shared service. Depending on where you will be staying, the 'L' train, bus or by foot are options to consider as well.
Is there parking available near your wedding venue?
Yes, free parking is available along N Stockton Drive as well as a paid parking lots at the intersection of N Stockton Drive and W LaSalle Drive and the Lincoln Park Zoo. Additional street parking options near our venue can be considered as well.
Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s) for the wedding and/or prewedding events?
We will not be providing guest transportation throughout the wedding weekend. All wedding event locations are easily accessible by ride-share service from our hotel blocks and other guest accomodations throughout the city.
What should I do if I don't make it into the hotel block?
If our hotel blocks are fully booked, reach out to the hotel contact on the 'Travel' tab and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations near our venue.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony will be outdoors under The Honeycomb, a pavilion with fiberglass coverage located on the South Pond of Lincoln Park. Just steps away from The Honeycomb, Cafe Brauer will host cocktail hour under a covered terrace and the reception indoors.
Wedding Attire
What's the dress code for your wedding?
Our dress code is formal attire. We ask that you wear a suit and tie in any color, evening gown or a midi- or knee-length cocktail dress. A pantsuit is an option to consider as well.
Plus-Ones and Children
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
Our reception will be for adults 18 and older. Select family under the age of 18 are invited to attend welcome drinks, our ceremony and the lakeside barbecue.
Menu and Dietary Restrictions
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree. There will be a meat, fish and vegetarian option available.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
One, if not all, of our entree choices have the flexability to accomodate all dietary restrictions or allergies. Please let us know of your restrictions in the digital section of your RSVP.
Wedding Registry and Gifts
Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?
You can find our complete wedding registry here on our website (and purchase directly from our wish list) under the "Registry" tab.
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 2040 W Belmont Ave, 404, Chicago, 60618. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
