Theme?
Our wedding theme is a unique blend of Renaissance, Fairytale, and Classic Traditional elements, with touches of Whimsigoth and Romantic Victorian influences. Picture a world where the elegance of a royal court meets the magic of enchanted fairytales, all while embracing timeless traditions. We’ve added a bit of whimsy and gothic charm to make it even more special, creating a truly magical atmosphere for the beginning of our forever.
What can guests wear?
As the Queen and King, we’ll be stepping into our royal roles, and we want you to feel like the best version of yourself. Guests are welcome to dress in whatever makes them feel confident and comfortable, whether that’s your best pair of jeans and boots, a themed costume, cocktail attire, semi-formal, or formal wear. If you’d like to embrace our Renaissance-inspired, fairytale theme, we’d love to see your creativity. Please know that dressing up is completely optional, and your presence is what truly makes our day magical. See below for more theme-appropriate guidelines.
Themed Attire Guidelines
If you’d like to add a touch of Renaissance or fairytale magic to your outfit, you should know that the theme is inspired by the 1400s–1700s, but feel free to interpret it in your own style.
A few simple guidelines to keep everyone comfortable and safe:
No crowns or tiaras—those are reserved for the bride and groom.
No real weapons—let’s keep it fun and safe for everyone.
Accessories are encouraged—body glitter, statement jewelry, or other whimsical touches are all welcome!
Remember, dressing up is entirely optional—what matters most is that you feel confident, comfortable, and ready to celebrate with us.
Alcohol? BRING YOUR ID
We will have an open bar from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The bar includes a bartender who will prepare mixed drinks, beer, wine, and bubbles. DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
What's for dinner?
Buffet-style dinner service: salad and bread, BBQ Chicken and 6 oz Sirloin, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and Vegetable Medley.
Are children welcomed?
How could we not include children on our magical night? However, parents and/or guardians should be aware that alcohol will be present on the premises, as well as music that may not be seen as suitable for anyone under the age of 18. As the night continues, the more "adult" the reception music will become.
Photography and Technology
For the ceremony portion of our wedding, we kindly ask that it be technology-free. We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture all the magical moments, so you can fully enjoy the experience without distractions.
Feel free to take as many photos as you’d like before and after the ceremony! If you share on social media, we’d love for you to use our wedding hashtag: #MissToGriffitts.
Accessibility
Wheelchair accessible
Parking
Parking is conveniently located right outside the Grande Hall, where the reception will be held.
Rain Plan?
As long as weather permits, the ceremony will be outside. However, in the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors to ensure everyone stays comfortable.
