Oldtown Bellevue

Derek, Lana, and I enjoy this part of the city because of the terrific restaurants. Our favorites include:

99 Park: The best cocktails and a nice patio overlooking a park. The short ribs are well worth the trip.

Bis on Main: Old school white linens with the kind of top notch service and wait staff you only get at old school steak joints. Grab a glass of cab, order a steak, and wait for the food coma to roll in.

Cantinetta: Go here for dessert. Fresh nutella donuts; nuff said.

520: Sit on the patio out front, order a Stella and the steak bites appetizer, commence people watching. After ordering a second glass of your favorite drink, ask your significant other to hold down the fort while you casually walk across the street to partake in an assortment of fine chocolates. They're super tiny, dress-friendly portions so go ahead and try the samples or walk out with a custom box of dark chocolates!

Core Power Yoga

Derek and I started doing yoga together 2 years ago. (Yup, you read that correctly). And he LOVES it!! (Yup, you read that correctly too). Although we've tried a few different studios, this is the one we frequently visit.

If you're feeling the need to eliminate 2lbs of sweat to squeeze into your evening attire, feel free to join us on Saturday morning at the CP2 class. Find your zen and inner peace as you sneak a glance over and watch in amazement as Derek perfects his dancer's pose, shoulder stand, and birds of paradise. It's a sight you won't want to miss!!

The divine light in me bows to the divine light in you. Namaste :)

Lucky strike bowling

Just next door to the Westin and a great way to relax on Saturday afternoon while we do our best to get pretty enough for the wedding.

Bellevue Mall

It's a mall, pretty much the same wherever you go, but this one is directly connected to the Westin and Hyatt hotels. That direct connection comes in handy if we experience one of those romantic rainy Seattle days.

Seattle duck tour

If you feel like being a true tourist for the day and want to know the best way to see and learn about Seattle we recommend this amphibious vehicle tour. Highlights of the tour include a floating drive by of the Sleepless in Seattle home, stops at all the best city landmarks, and a little history lesson along the way. Singing loudly to YMCA and waving at random strangers on the street is highly encouraged! Tours begin and end near the Space Needle and across from the Experience Music Project, both of which are worth a visit as well.

Yuan Spa

Enjoy a massage, get your nails done, or wax whatever floats your boat. Be sure to bring a swim suit so that you can enjoy the excellent steam rooms, saunas, and hot/cold plunge pools. They'll loan you a swim suit if you forget yours, but I think we can all agree that's a little weird! It's best to book and schedule your treatments (especially coupes massage) at least two weeks in advance.

The Space Needle

What's a visit to Seattle without a trip to the Space Needle? Take the express elevator to the top and enjoy a yummy brunch and a spectacular 360 degree view! Bonus if it's sunny!
