Nick and Tara matched on a dating app called Hinge! Tara was in her second year of law school and Nick had just moved back to New Jersey to start his career. Tara decided to give the app a chance after her friend (Bridesmaid Toni) met her now husband on the app. Nick decided to download the app after a weekend visiting his friend (Best Man Ben) and his now wife.

After a couple of weeks of chatting on the app and trying to coordinate two very busy schedules, Tara and Nick had their first date at Iron Hill Brewery in Maple Shade. Nick just got home from a work conference in Orlando that morning, and Tara was set to fly out to New Orleans the next day. The first date was (obviously) a success!

After four years, a new house, one global pandemic, several new jobs, and a puppy (shoutout Kelce), Nick decided to pull off the ultimate surprise...

On December 3, 2022, Nick pulled off the perfect surprise proposal! Tara thought they were going into the city for Nick’s office holiday party, but Nick had other plans. While walking through Christmas Village at City Hall, Nick convinced Tara to take a photo in front of the tree. A nearby photographer (who Nick hired, unbeknownst to Tara) offered to take the picture. During the picture, Nick told Tara that there was no work party, dropped to one knee and popped the question. Tara of course said yes!!!

After briefly galavanting around Center City snapping photos, the surprises continued when Tara learned that both of their immediate families were waiting to celebrate with them at a nearby hotel, Hotel W. Tara and Nick spent the rest of the night celebrating with their friends and families in an amazing suite overlooking Philadelphia.
