Like most couples these days, Tara and Mark met online in June 2022. They first bonded over their shared love of traveling and adventure. They knew it was meant to be when each of them would try to one-up the other with their respective knowledge of movie trivia. Who knew that two Star Wars dorks would find love?

For their first date, they had drinks at Wooster's Garden then made their way to Jinya for some ramen. Tara ordered extra garlic, forgetting that she was on a first date, because she was already so comfortable with Mark. It was the first of many great dates.

Early during their relationship, Mark would stay up late on FaceTime with Tara, helping her study for her board exams. With the amount of board review questions that Mark completed, he should have an honorary medical degree.

After going on a few dates, Mark had devised an elaborate plan for how he would officially ask Tara to be his girlfriend. However, Tara just couldn't wait, and she had asked him to be her boyfriend first.

Since then, Tara and Mark have shared many adventures: running multiple 5Ks together, going on mini road trips to Dallas to see Mark’s family, wine tasting at local wineries, exploring Houston’s Zoo and Museum District, taste testing food at the State Fair, watching Star Wars movie marathons, playing fetch with Mark's dog, Max, and hiking in national parks. Their greatest adventure yet would come on April 24, 2023 when Mark asked Tara to marry him in Zion National Park.

Counting down to the big day, Tara and Mark continue to express their love for each other, waiting until the day they get to call each other Husband and Wife.
