Kay is Tara's sister and best friend for life. Throughout the years of growing up and bouncing from place to place, Kay has been a steady presence of love, friendship, and support for Tara. She was with Tara the night she met Josh and has welcomed him with open arms (and sparring matches). Throughout her years at the College of William and Mary, Kay spent a lot of quality time at Tara and Josh's house, playing Cards Against Humanity, squeeing over the adorable kitties, and testing Josh's patience with Bob's Burgers. She understands perhaps better than anyone else how Tara and Josh connect as a couple, and her friendship and support means the world.

Daniel is one of Josh and Tara's good friends. He is a sweet man with a big heart, always trying to be a positive light in dark times. Through the roller coaster that is life he has proven himself to be one of the best of friends. It all started with him coming over to their house to apologize for someone else and their actions, that night turned into several hours of hanging out and having a good time. Time moved on and Dan moved in with Josh and Tara, bringing his then girlfriend as well. For a time things went smoothly, but soon enough he was trying to play peacemaker between the girls. Ever having a big heart he did not want to see the friendships he had made with Josh and Tara fall apart over his personal relationships, so when he ended up having to move out it hurt him deeply. After some time Dan reached out to Josh and Tara wanting to reconnect. Hanging out and spending more time together again they all began to rekindle the friendship that they once had. Now four years later, through thick and thin, Daniel has been there and with all the darkness in the world Josh and Tara both appreciate his ever present warmth and light in their lives.
