Michael and Taryn met on Hinge at the height of the COVID pandemic and decided on a quick outdoor ice cream date—one that ended up lasting for hours. Their connection was instant, growing even stronger through weekly FaceTime dates while Taryn was in Las Vegas for a PT school rotation. When she returned to Miami, they became practically inseparable, spending their time biking, playing tennis and basketball, kayaking, watching the Canes play, exploring new restaurants and beaches, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

As their relationship deepened, they quickly envisioned a future together, sharing adventures and building strong bonds with each other’s loved ones. A few years later, they expanded their little family with their puppy, Buddy. Then, in a full-circle moment, Michael proposed to Taryn in Sanibel, Florida—the very place where he had first told her he loved her three and a half years earlier.
