Just a 5 minute walk away from the Tampa EDITION is Sparkman's Wharf! While walking through (and around) this area you will find ample shops, bars, restaurants and live music.
Near the hotel you can find live music almost every Friday night. Before heading over to our Welcome Party at 7:00pm, feel free to listen to some live music by local artists.
Bayshore boulevard is a beautiful waterfront road that people love to run/walk on. It lasts about 4.5 miles and overlooks the houses on the water. Close to here is Hyde Park village which is right next to Bayshore. There's lot's of shopping and food options right around here so we'd definitely recommend knocking out Bayshore/Hyde park village the same day.
Davis island is a just a few minutes from the EDITION. On the South side is a small man-made beach that is only 10 minutes total driving time. It's somewhat of a hidden gem. This is also a dog-friendly beach if you want free entertainment running around.
If you are extending your trip and have a free night to space and you enjoy watching hockey (Tampa Bay Lighting) or concerts, check out the events schedule at the Amalie Arena.
Ybor city is considered the Cuban district of Tampa. There is a lot of good Cuban food here, and you might catch spot roosters that roam the street! It's a nice place to go during the day, it does get quite loud and party-forward in the evening.
Just about 15 minutes from the Tampa EDITION you can find Urban Kai Gandy. They offer paddle board and kayak rentals. There is also a nice coffee shop (Patrona) and restaurant (the Getaway) right next to this.
Do you want to continue the fun on Sunday afternoon? After our brunch, feel free to check out the Tiki Boats that can be found in Tampa, Clearwater and St Pete.

If you have the time for a day trip, you can't beat the beaches in both St Petersburg or Clearwater. If you are renting a car, the drive from the Tampa EDITION to St. Petersburg is around 25 minutes (or more, depending on traffic).
Here are some popular beaches to consider:
1) Pass-a-grille beach (more lowkey)
2) Upham beach (more lowkey)
3) Clearwater beach (so fun, but can be crowded and full of tourists)
4) Indian rocks beach (more lowkey)
5) Treasure Island (can also be crowded, but lot's of activities around here).
FYI - Downtown St. Petersburg also has great night life!
