Back in 2018, Taryn went to a party with her friends/roommates. On the way to the party, they had to stop and pick up Ryan, as his best friend was dating Taryn's friend at the time. Ryan got into the car and sat in the back seat with Taryn. Taryn tried to politely introduce herself and said "Hi I'm Taryn." To which Ryan responded "Sup." Needless to say things were not off to a stellar beginning. The party went well, nothing out of the ordinary. They took Ryan home and that was the end of the evening.

Fast forward to October. Taryn got a random add from some person on snap named "Hauter". She went home and asked her roommates if they knew who it was. Her roomate, Steven, said, "Oh that's my friend Ryan." Taryn added him back and they began snapping.

After what seemed like years, Ryan finally asked Taryn on a date to Ralphies in Oregon. The date went well and they decided to continue seeing one another.

On NYE in 2018, Taryn and her roommates had a small gathering at their house. That evening Ryan asked Taryn to be his girlfriend.

After a LONG AWAITED 5 years, Ryan was ready to propose. He reached out to Taryn's sister Kayla and told her he was thinking of doing this. With the help of Tara at Northwood Jewlers, Kayla, and Ryan's good taste he helped create the perfect ring. The plan was in motion.

Ryan was devising a plan. He had Kayla and her boyfriend ask to come see the zoo lights with them. Taryn naturally said yes, and it just so worked out Taryn's best friend was coming the day prior and stayed for the lights as well. There were many clues looking back on it now, but Taryn had no idea. Once they were in the zoo they started looking for any animals that may be out and taking photos all along the way. This was not out of the ordinary as Kayla is the *Selfie Queen*. They made their way toward the big tree and Taryn and Ryan were getting their photo taken. Little did Taryn know, but Ryan had the ring in his pocket ready to ask the question. He looked at her and said, "I have an important question to ask you." Taryn looked at him and he got down on one knee and popped the question! Taryn of course was in shock and asked, "Are you kidding?" Speechless for the first time in probably her whole life! She of course said, yes!

The past 5 years have been full of ups and downs, but it has shown us how lucky we are to have found one another, and how much we can't wait to share our special day with all of you!
