This annoying girl…. Let me tell you about this ‘annoying’ woman who caught my eye back in 2020. I was walking towards the corner and spotted my eye candy talking with her friends, being all loud, discussing how they needed a sugar daddy. I just knew she was indirectly talking to me, so I had to show her I’m not a sugar daddy. We talked and laugh, and from that day on, we’ve been flirting with each other, and I knew from that very moment I needed to get with her.
She had no idea I’ve been watching her, becoming more interested because I could see how motivated and hardworking she was. One day, I spotted her getting out of a cab. As usual, we greeted each other with, “Annoying!” I knew this was my chance to shoot my shot, so I told her to hold on, “I want to give you something.” I put money in a brown paper bag and handed it to her. She was acting all hesitant at first, not wanting to take it, but eventually, she did. I wanted her to treat herself to something nice. I saw her the next day and gave her my number, telling her to use it.
From that day forth, we began talking and texting all day. I found myself wanting to spend more time with her, enjoying our long car rides and walks. I’d been hounding her for a kiss because those lips were looking so good. I had to see for myself, and even though she acted like she wasn’t interested, I knew she was playing hard to get. Not long after, we shared our first kiss. But it was more than just that; I adored the great mother she was and all the fun we had together.
As time went on, I knew she was the one, so I asked God for understanding, and He pointed me in the right direction. So, I went forth with my proposal, and I can now say that I get to spend the rest of my life with my friend, the person I love hanging out with, going out to dinner with, and being ourselves. I like to shower her with flowers and add that extra touch with her favorite cologne that I wear. I’m ready for this ride, and I told her she’s not going anywhere. I’m the lucky man who gets to spend the rest of my life with her.
Proverbs 18:22 says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.”

Let me tell you about my love story… It started back in August of 2020 on a hot summer day, standing on the corner talking to my homegirls, when this fine man came walking towards us. He started to lean on the pole, just staring me down, but also listening to our conversation about how we need to find us a sugar daddy 🤣🤣.
Since that day, we’ve been playfully calling each other ‘annoying’ and flirting – you know how it goes. I could tell he was keeping an eye out for me. One time, right after I got back from a vacation with the kids, I saw him working on a move-out. As I stepped out of the cab, we both exchanged our usual, so“Annoying!” greeting. He then said, “Hold up, I’ve got something for you,” to which I casually replied, “Yeah, sure.” But by the time I finished unloading our bags from the cab, he was right there beside me, holding out a brown bag. Inside was a hundred-dollar bill, wrapped around a note that read, “Treat yourself to something nice.” I immediately called my friend to tell her all about it. Later, when I saw him, I playfully said, “You know I’ve got my own money, right?” He responded with a smile, “I know, but I still want you to treat yourself.”
We started exchanging texts, talking day and night. I was upfront with him, letting him know that I come with two special kinds of ‘baggage’ – one big, one small. Right from the start, what I truly cherished about Russell was how we grew into friends. He always listened attentively and treated me with the utmost respect, like a queen. Our time together was filled with long, relaxing car rides and leisurely walks along the boardwalk, filled with laughter and endless conversations. He had this sweet habit of leaving flowers on my car while I was at work. It always caught me by surprise. And he’d even sprayed them with his favorite cologne, leaving a scent that reminded me of him.
Russell gradually became more than just someone I had a crush on; he became my rock, my best friend. He was right there, cheering me on through all my achievements, always encouraging me to push forward. Our times together, enjoying each other’s presence and spending moments with the kids, were priceless.
Now, here we are, at this incredible moment. Russell, it’s hard to believe that we’re preparing to say “I Do” I used to think our connection was just casual, a little fun, or a sneaky link. But you completely transformed those feelings. And now, here you are, about to be my husband, my love, and my lifelong best friend, all rolled into one. The thought of spending my forever with you fills my heart with so much joy and anticipation.
