Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You asking that You will protect our marriage. Your word tells us that we will no longer be two, but we will be one flesh. And so we will ask that nothing will divide us.

You will grant us the courage to stand strong when we’re facing a storm. Whether we will be up against poverty, sickness, unemployment, temptation, or stress, You will give us the strength to face it together.

We will want to grow old together. We will be holding hands long after old age has set in. We will be a couple that prays together and stays together until You call us home.

In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

And You will answer and say unto them, Have you not read, that He who made them in the beginning will make them male and female, And will say, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain will be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God will join together, let not man put asunder.
