Patrick and Taylor met back in December of 2016 when Patrick was 23 and Taylor was 21. Taylor was currently finishing her senior year at UConn in Storrs while Pat was living in Danbury working full time. Somehow, these two got lucky enough to match online where they immediately hit it off talking about their foodie personalities, their height, and their favorite holiday of Christmas right around the corner. Their first date happened January of 2017 at Square One Bar & Grille, where to this day, Pat still makes a comment on how Taylor showed up in olive green and it was such her color. After many fun dates of restaurants, mini golf, movies, and so much more- Pat finally gained the courage to ask Taylor to be his girlfriend!

Over the past years, they have grown together, and have experienced so much by each other's sides. Taylor moved away to Pennsylvania for nursing school so they dated long distance for about two years! After gaining experience as an emergency dispatcher, Patrick completed his correctional officer academy and won the pride award for most improved CO. It's definitely been a learning experience with Pat's new schedule and Taylor's crazy school or hospital hours but even when they see each other once a week, they make every moment count. They took on the sport of golf together and have been golfing all around Connecticut, Florida, Charleston, Hilton Head, etc ever since! They got to experience the magic of Disney World together twice and witnessed all of Yellowstone National Park. They've got to experience vacation with one another's families, and grow closer with our family members on each side. Meeting eachother's friends was always so exciting, and now some of them are closer than ever with many double dates planned. Many birthdays, graduations, and big life events were celebrated. They're so excited to continue traveling and exploring new things with eachother as a married couple. From taking a cooking class together, Giants & Yankees games, and boat rides- they are always down for anything with one another.

In the relationship, it's so important each partner brings on their own special aspect and personality, and Pat and Taylor do that for sure. Pat is the cook of the relationship, the strong support system, the level headed and realistic partner while Taylor is more sporadic, you only live once type of partner who loves school and learning and taking Pat out of his comfort zone!

Patrick took a huge leap on an exciting day of September 08, 2022 asking Taylor to marry him. He proposed on a private little lighthouse island in Edgartown in Martha's Vineyard while on a surprise birthday trip for Taylor. Pat had planned the day for months from picking out the classiest hotel, setting up a photographer to lie in the sand as a surprise, designing her dream rose gold ring, right down to all the restaurant reservations to celebrate. Taylor was so shocked and emotional that she may not remember Pat's entire speech while he was down on his knee, but she'll never forget that Pat connected the way he asked her to be his girlfriend to the way he proposed (they now have his favorite quote on a canvas in their place!) I'm sure Pat had some regrets once they started wedding venue searching, he truly learned how indecisive, picky, and high maintenance Taylor was LOL! Once they found their perfect spot for their big day, they allowed themselves a two year engagement to really enjoy and take their time with all the important moments.

In the future, Taylor and Patrick have so many big plans from building their dream home, starting a family together, getting pets together, going through life's ups & downs, and most importantly, growing old together. The first step in the next chapter of their story is getting married, and they cannot wait to spend this day with all their favorite family and friends.
