Q + A

Everything below refers to our New York wedding celebration (“The Sequel”).

1. What is “The Sequel” — and are you having another ceremony?

Our wedding may not follow the traditional path that many dream of, but for us, it's a perfect reflection of our unique journey together. We've chosen to exchange our vows on the breathtaking island of Hawaii (Big Island), a place filled with cherished memories that have shaped our love story. Big Island holds a special place in our hearts, and having our wedding here feels like a dream come true. While we would love to celebrate this special day with all our loved ones, we also recognize the challenges of asking everyone to make the journey to this remote and serene island. That's why we've decided to opt for a vow renewal ceremony. It offers us the best of both worlds—a small, intimate wedding in our favorite place, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and significance of this location, followed by a joyous reception with our nearest and dearest. We were married in a small, intimate ceremony in Hawai‘i during a season when the simplest version was the best way to start our life together. Now that we’re home and stepping fully into civilian life, we’re excited to celebrate again—this time with the full cast. Think of it as the wedding celebration we’ve been saving: a formal ceremony and reception in New York with our families and friends all in one place.

2. What time should I arrive to the venue?

Please arrive by 3:30 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. If you arrive early, the bar will be open!

3. Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

As of now: Ceremony — outdoors. Cocktail hour — indoors/outdoors. Reception — indoors. Weather may impact plans, and we’ll adjust as needed.

4. Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes! There is plenty of parking, however we encourage guests that are planning on enjoying our specialty cocktails to take advantage of Uber / Lyft.

5. Can I bring my kids?

We extend a warm invitation to children to partake in the weekend's festivities. However, if they are upset or noisy, we kindly ask for awareness and suggest heading to inside cocktail hour area. This spot allows for continued viewing of our ceremony. Your understanding is greatly appreciated!

6. Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

We’re so grateful you want to capture the day with us! For the ceremony, we’re asking everyone to keep it phone-free so we can all be fully present for those few special minutes. Please feel free to take photos before and after the ceremony—and during cocktail hour and the reception. Remember to post on the QR codes that will be throughout the event! Our photographer will be there to document everything, and we can’t wait to share the professional photos with you afterward. Thank you for understanding!

7. What's the best way to RSVP?

The easiest way is to RSVP on our wedding website. You’re also welcome to mail back the RSVP card if you prefer.

8. When is the RSVP deadline?

May 1st 2026

9. Do you have a wedding registry?

Yes! We're registered on both Amazon and Target. To find our registry please click on the "registry" tab found on our website!

10. Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table.

11. How will you communicate updates or changes?

Any updates will be posted on our wedding website (The Knot). For urgent changes, we’ll also reach out directly by text.
