Dexter and I met in 6th grade (I still remember the first time I laid eyes on him) and we were friends for years before finally making it 'official' our freshman year of high school.

Throughout high school we went to 5 school dances together with this being our first, homecoming sophomore year.

Our love for spending time at the lake together started very early on in our relationship and ultimately led to a very easy decision to get married by the lake!

High school graduation! On to the next chapter where Dexter started college at Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter, MN and I headed to the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

Even made a couple trips down to Tucson, AZ to watch Dexter do his thing with the Gustavus baseball team.

We made it! I graduated in May & Dexter in June of 2019 - next it was time to apply to grad schools.

We were so excited to find out that we both got accepted into the University of Jamestown's Physical Therapy Program located in Fargo, ND..... but, this also meant starting grad school in the middle of a pandemic.

Even with a busy school schedule we still found plenty of time to go golfing! a.k.a Dexter golfing while I watched and cheered for him (I promise I will learn how to hit a golf ball soon)

We even found time on the weekends or during school breaks to make trips to Walker, MN and spend time at my family's cabin on Leech Lake.

As well as trips to Alexandria, MN to spend time at Dexter's family cabin on Lake Latoka.

On a wonderful trip to CA, Dexter completely caught me off guard and pulled off the most amazing surprise by asking me to marry him while walking on the Malibu Pier, it was truly the most special day & easiest YES!

For our last semester of grad school, Dexter and I packed up our cars and drove across the country to spend 4 months in sunny AZ in order to complete our last clinical experience. Majority of our time down there was spent working but we also made time for plenty of hiking and other fun adventures!

The day before graduation we finally received our white coats! Thanks COVID for the delay.

& on this day we officially achieved our biggest accomplishment yet! Together we both received our Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees and it felt dang good. We had finally finished school.... forever!

We have now made our home in Vadnais Heights, MN and have both officially passed our boards. Dexter is working as a physical therapist at Summit Orthopedics in Vadnais Heights and I have started as a pediatric physical therapist at Children's in Maple Grove! We are so beyond excited for all that is to come.
