Lucas and Taylor met on a dating app around March of 2020. Their first date, Taylor met Lucas at his apartment in Stevens Point (after Taylor's mom got Lucas's full name, address, and phone number). Lucas took Taylor to Chips, a burger place in Wisconsin Rapids, and then they ate their food by the water. After seeing each other continuously after that, they obviously started dating.


They discovered things about one another's families that surprised them. One being that Lucas's grandmother Beth, was best friends with Taylor's aunt Carol. Lucas had considered Carol to be like another grandmother and had actually heard stories about Taylor from Carol. When she had passed away in 2017, they both were at her funeral, but don't remember seeing one another.


Since Taylor grew up in Abbotsford and some of Lucas's family being from the Colby/Spencer area, they put other small world connections together.


Another thing that had surprised Lucas and Taylor, was that both of their parents had the same anniversary date, June 5th. Because of this crazy coincidental event, they thought it would be special to have their wedding date and future anniversaries on June 5th as well.

• Taylor's dad and Lucas's grandpa Bob share the same birthday.
• Taylor and Lucas both enjoy hunting, being on the water, going to sporting events and concerts, and trying new restaurants/breweries.
• They have an almost 2 year old golden retriever, Wesley.
• Lucas taught Taylor how to bow fish.
