Our Wedding

Spencer and Taylor were friends at first, part of the same overlapping friend groups. That changed one Friendsgiving when Taylor caught Spencer’s eye. After that, Spencer and his roommate, Dylan, became regulars at Taylor’s bartending job at the Elks—clearly, they were there for more than just the drinks! One night at Taylor’s bar, while discussing upcoming weekend plans, Taylor mentioned that she had promised her cousin she’d travel to Rutland, VT, to watch her basketball game—despite the snowy winter storm in the forecast. Spencer and Dylan had no plans, so Taylor convinced them to tag along, promising to be the designated driver for the day, with a brew-hopping adventure on the way back. What should have been an hour-long drive turned into a two-and-a-half-hour trek through the storm, and they never even made it to the game. Instead, they met up with Taylor’s family at their family deli. Little did she know, while simply introducing her friends to her family, she was also introducing them to her future husband. Their first one-on-one hangout was a winter hike to Cole Pond with their dogs. From there, their friendship grew into something more—St. Patrick’s Day at Salt Hill with friends, snowy adventures on Spencer’s snowmobile, hiking trips with their dogs, and long nights trying to stay awake while watching Game of Thrones. One ride led to another, one adventure turned into many, and two months later, Spencer finally made it official. The rest, as they say, is history.

How it all started

On the night of the Strawberry Moon, June 14, 2022, Spencer and Taylor went golfing at Montcalm Golf Club, where Taylor was working at the time, thinking it would be the perfect place to catch the moonrise. After their round, they made their way to the gazebo, ready to take in the view. Taylor, completely unaware of what was happening behind her, was busy setting up her phone to capture a time-lapse video for work. Meanwhile, Spencer was filled with nerves. Nothing seemed to go as planned—the golf game ended too early, the music cut out, and his phone wasn’t set up to record. But none of that mattered. When Taylor finally turned around, Spencer was there, nervous yet determined, with four simple words: “Will you marry me?” It was a complete surprise—an intimate, beautiful moment they now get to cherish forever, just like the Strawberry Moon.

Kelly and I have shared countless adventures, road trips, and late-night laughs, growing up side by side through all of life’s ups and downs. From Girl Scouts and Municipal Sports to high school, we were always around each other, but truly became inseparable working at Lui Lui—where shifts felt more like fun than work. From endless sleepovers to Mesler Family Dinners, we stayed close even when college took us in different directions—until Kelly transferred to Castleton, and we became college roommates, creating unforgettable memories as an infamous duo. Even after college, we’ve remained just as close, supporting each other as we grow, advance in our careers, and now, as we both plan our 2025 weddings! Kelly is my favorite golf partner and an absolute powerhouse as a business owner. She’s the kind of friend who always shows up, no questions asked—the person I call for advice, a laugh, or a spontaneous adventure. She’s been my rock for over 15 years, and our friendship has stood the test of time, proving it's truly forever. Devin and I have been best friends for nearly 25 years, and throughout that time, we’ve seen each other through it all. From childhood antics to awkward school years to supporting each other through adulthood and celebrating life’s big milestones, Devin has been my constant. We’ve had our share of hilarious memories, from reenacting our own wedding as young kids to trips to the beaches of Maine. Devin is the most ambitious person I know, and his hard work and determination allow him to thrive in everything he sets his heart and mind to. Whether it’s pursuing his dreams or helping those around him, Devin always gives 110%. His vibrant energy and unwavering support make him invaluable, and I consider him family in every sense of the word. If you see Devin, get him a canned cocktail and ask him about our dog show days!

Ally and I have been inseparable for over six years, ever since we met at UNH Manchester. We spent a full year in the same class before finally deciding to hang out after class—where we realized we shared the same childhood superstition of raising our feet while driving over train tracks. It was a total Step Brothers moment: “Did we just become best friends?” “Yup!”. From spontaneous road trips and shopping sprees to late-night beach pizza and surviving college together, Ally has been a constant source of laughter and support. Even though we now live two hours apart, that hasn’t changed a thing—Ally still talks to me just about every night on my drive home from work.  She’s my sign language soul sister and one of the most talented interpreters I’ve ever met. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support mean the world to me. If you see Ally, get her a seltzer and ask her about the time we got matching tattoos!`

Ally Lemerise

Kaylan and I didn’t meet on our own. My first memory with Kaylan is from when I was probably 7 and she was 5. I was jumping my bicycle, and she told me that she was going to be my sister. I scoffed, but she was right. We grew up, side by side and even went to the same high school, though I rarely admitted it. Our friendship grew stronger as we became adults and tried to navigate the challenges of “growing up.” We remain closer than ever, living just one town over from her and her beautiful family. She made me an uncle, for which I am so thankful. Kaylan has always had my best interests at heart, and for that reason, she is my Best Woman. If you see Kaylan, get her a glass of wine and ask about our concert trips.

One of my longest friends, Mike has seen it all. If I was ever in a hairy predicament, you can bet Mike was right there with me. We never actually had to bail each other out, but damn, did we come close. Mike always has a positive outlook, no matter the situation, and I really admire him for that. No matter how many times I ask Mike to help me move, he always shows up without complaint. If you see Mike, get him a Bud Light and ask about our wheeling adventures.

I met Dylan in 2011 when I first started at Gerrish Honda. We quickly became friends, as he was my only friend old enough to grab a beer at the bar after work. As the years went by, Dylan stuck by my side through all the crazy adventures and mishaps. In 2018, Dylan and I became roommates while working at the same job. It takes a special kind of friendship to work together and live together, but I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. Never once did he complain that Taylor seemed to stay longer and longer each time she visited. Dylan has been an integral part of my life, and I’m thankful for all the moments we've shared. Choosing Uncle Rob as our officiant was one of the first and easiest decisions we made when planning our wedding. He has always been a source of love, wisdom, and laughter in Taylor’s life, welcoming her as one of his own. He, Aunt Amy, and their kids were the first of Taylor’s family to meet Spencer, unknowingly witnessing the very beginning of their love story. Over the years, Uncle Rob has watched our relationship grow, offering support and encouragement every step of the way. Having him guide us as we say “I do” makes our wedding day even more meaningful.

Langwood Tree Farm: Parking is located in the adjacent field to the barn.&nbsp;Follow signs leading to parking. Parking is very limited! Please carpool if available. Local&nbsp;guests we encourage you to have someone drop/pick you up...you're sure to have more fun!
