December 2019 was the first time Stephen and Taylor met unexpectedly at Eckert’s Restaurant; Taylor’s side job waitressing. Stephen had stopped by to talk with his Mom who was hostess at the time. Taylor introduced herself with a very quick hi and went about working. They didn’t see each other again till September 2021. Taylor asked Diane; Stephen’s Mom why Stephen never came and sat in her section. Shortly after Stephen started to come to Eckert’s every other month or so at first just to give her a hard time. It then became every couple weeks to sit in her section to “get something to eat.” Stephen became single Thanksgiving 2021, and Taylor became single October 2022. November 2022 Stephen found Taylor on Facebook, added her, and began messaging till the end of December 2022, and she decided maybe the timing wasn’t right, and they both went their separate ways. Stephen was in a new relationship in March 2023, but broke off that relationship in July 2023. Stephen had came home from a long out of town work trip from March 2023-August 2023, and Taylor broke off her relationship September 2023. One day Stephen decided to come up to Eckert’s to talk to his Mom. Diane asked Stephen if he wanted her to go get Taylor to talk. He annoyedly said no. Diane didn’t listen and went and found Taylor anyways. Taylor came to say hi, and asked Stephen if he was going to sit, and eat in her section like he always did when he would come to her job. He had said no, he has things to do. They hugged each other and he left. Taylor had expressed to Stephen’s Mom how annoying it was that he wasn’t going to stay and eat in her section. Stephen still was not too happy about the way things had broke off between the two of them. Diane calls Stephen and tells him what Taylor had said. He was surprised, and told her to make a reservation for 1:00pm, and that he is canceling his plans, but to make sure Taylor had no idea he was coming back. Taylor had went up to Stephen at the table, and explained how sorry she was, and how dumb she was for breaking things off with him. From that point on Stephen would come in every three weeks or so and sit in her section until November 2023. That time he came in he asked how he was supposed to keep Taylor in the loop with things, and how to talk to her. They started messaging on Facebook again, and FINALLY on January 5, 2024 Taylor went to dinner with her Mom, and Stepdad and she kept mentioning this Stephen guy. This was the first time Taylor’s Stepdad; Frank had heard anything about Stephen. He asked why he didn’t come to dinner with them. Taylor had said how that would be awkward because she hadn’t even seen him outside of Eckert’s. Frank kept pushing for them to see each other that night. So Taylor teasingly thinking Stephen wouldn’t come to Smithton from Collinsville in the first snow all season was very wrong. Stephen the instant Taylor mentioned meeting each other he got ready for his hot date, and headed to Smithton in a very heavy snow. Stephen nervously called his Mom on the way saying how nervous he was, and how bad the roads were getting. Taylor telling her Mom; Jodi and Frank as they drop her off back home how nervous she is and how she may get sick, hurries waits patiently for him to arrive at The Tailgate in Smithton. Taylor sat in the car as she sees Stephen’s truck in the parking lot. She finally started heading inside, and met Stephen for the first time outside of sitting in Taylor’s section at Eckert’s for 30-45 minutes, and from that point on the rest was history!

Abby and Taylor have known each other since 2021 through the law firm they worked at together, and have been really close since.  Abby is one of the greatest friends anyone could ask for, and has been an amazing assets to opinions, advice, and help with Taylor and Stephen’s big day, and we are so happy to have her standing by us on our special day!

She is a huge part of Taylor’s life, and she has been the number one helper to the couple with every little thing for their big day. They wouldn’t have been able to pull this wedding off without the help of her and Frank her stepdad!
