Kaitlyn (who will further be identified as "Sis") is Taylor's older sister. Taylor has only referred to Sis as such and many friends just call her that until they meet her. Sis has rightfully earned this permanent title because being Taylor's sister comes with many roles. Sis falls under the umbrella of Taylor's protector, accountability partner, shoulder to cry on, dreamer, fangirl, role model, advocate, and much more. Taylor's favorite thing to do when Sis visits is run into people she knows. This is for many reasons, but one to note is that it's an opportunity to show Sis that Taylor is safe and secure because she knows how deeply Sis cares for her. Sis and her husband, Cole, have two kids, Elliot and Hudson. For Sis and Taylor, having a partner meet the kids was a huge deal. The family has been able to see Nick create an amazing relationship with Elliot and Hudson. Sis is a rockstar in all that she puts her mind to, so watch out on the dance floor, she isn't one to shy away from a handstand.

Zach and Nick met during their sophomore year of college at the University of Colorado. They quickly became best friends after living together the summer after that school year. Zach was essential in helping Nick get through college. He was always a good study partner, project group member, and someone to go blow off steam with. Nick, Zach, and Brooke lived together again during Nick's senior year of college. From hosting house parties, walking to $5 marg night at the Rio, and playing intermural broomball and hockey together, some of Nick's fondest college memories are form that house and year of college. If you want to kill some time, you can talk to Zach about "Interstellar" or anything space related. That is one of his favorite subjects and has a wealth of knowledge. Zach has remained like a brother to Nick since graduating college while they both do their best to navigate adult life. Also, congratulations to him and his fiancé Sarah who are getting married a month before us!

Mollie is Taylor's oldest friend, meeting through tennis and church growing up. Although they were at rivals high schools, they continually cheered one another on. Mollie, or Molls Balls as Taylor calls her, has many fun stories to tell. Make sure you ask her about Mama Mia reenactments in her basement, their college tennis recruitment videos, and blasting 3OH!3 through the streets of Johnson County. Mollie and her husband, Pat, live in Bratislava living out their dreams of traveling and working abroad. A couple of Taylor's favorite things about Mollie are her loyalty and protection she shows to those she loves. You can always count on Mollie to have your back and encourage you to be the best version of yourself. Mollie sets the tone of a lifelong friend and we are lucky to know her and have her in our lives.

Nick and Tyler met during their freshman year of college when they were assigned to the same lab group during their Physics I class. Their dorms were across the engineering quad from each other, so they would meet up most weekend mornings to hit the DIY omelet bar at the dining hall. Tyler enjoys working on almost anything mechanical. This was evident when Nick, Tyler, and Brooke moved in together Junior year of college. The garage was quickly filled with tools, dirt bikes, a project truck, and even some jet skis for a little. Tyler also helped foster Nicks love of airplanes. Whether it was watching airplane documentaries in the dorms, sending each other airplanes for sale that they could never afford, or even just talking airplanes for hours. After graduating college and Air Force pilot training, Tyler ended up in Wichita too. After not seeing each other for almost two years, it has been awesome being able to see Tyler so often now. We have even been able to go on some of the airplane adventures we talked about back in college.

Brooke and Taylor met soon after Taylor moved to Wichita. Even though Taylor was adamant about leaving Wichita and being a Johnson County girl forever, Brooke encouraged her to explore Wichita and connect. Little did she know that she helped Taylor create the feeling of "home" that Wichita now brings. Brooke and Taylor have been on several adventures to New York City, Colorado, Austin, and many more in Wichita. One of Taylor's favorite memories with Brooke is the morning of her and Ben's wedding. Nick and Taylor had been dating for about one month and the hotel where the bridesmaids were getting ready in ran out of coffee. Nick came to the rescue and brought some coffee for Brooke and Taylor. Taylor's favorite quality about Brooke is the way she invests in her friendships. Brooke has shown us the importance of surrounding yourself with people who love you "just because they do." Thank you for keeping Taylor in Wichita and being a consistent source of light in our lives.

Ross was Nicks very first friend when he moved to Wichita. They both worked at Textron Aviation and had desks near each other. They started talking in a Catia training class because they had the same shoes on. Ross was in the same boat as Nick having moved to Wichita without knowing anyone and they hit it off quickly. Ross was also the person that introduced Nick to one of his new favorite pastimes, golf. Nick had never considered playing golf before, but after one trip out to Tex Consolver golf course he bought some clubs and started hitting the range. Ross has also gotten to know Taylor well, likely due to the weekly cycle classes Taylor, Nick, and Ross used to do at the YMCA. Ross was also Nick’s first friend to meet Taylor’s dad Bruce after he came to one of these classes. Ross also lives in College Hill, so Nick and Tay enjoy meeting up with him and our other College Hill friends for happy hour or to watch a game at the bars and restaurants close by.

Steven was introduced to Nick by Ross at the Textron gym shortly after Nick and Ross met. They all quickly became good friends. Nick and Steven used to live across the river from each other in downtown Wichita, so Nick would frequently walk across the river to have some drinks at Steven’s before walking to the bars in old town Wichita. At then end of the night, they would grab a late night pizza from Pumphouse and walk back to their apartments. Steven and his fiancé Marina still live close to Nick and Tay. They have a house in college hill just a short distance from Nick and Tay’s house. We have enjoyed going through these big life events together!

Bianca and Taylor officially met when Bianca moved back to Wichita from Phoenix, Arizona. Taylor had heard amazing things about Bianca from her other Wichita friends. Meeting her proved that all these amazing things weren't true because she was even better than described. Bianca has a heart for authentically being there for others and helping them navigate life. The all time best Bianca story was at Brooke's bachelorette weekend. We'll let Bianca tell it because honestly, it's funnier when she tells it and we love hearing it from her perspective. The best part of the story, was the fact that Taylor got to sit next to Bianca during the weekend and get to know her better. Taylor's favorite quality about Bianca is her ability to make others smile. Regardless of how you're doing, you know that you will find joy and relief in Bianca's humor and empathy. You know those people who you look at and think about how honored you are to know them as well as you do? That's how we feel about Bianca.

Catherine and Taylor met during tennis tryouts during Taylor’s junior year and Catherine’s freshmen year. To be exact, they met during match play at the end of try outs… playing against each other. Thankfully, the friendship didn’t start and end that day because Catherine is one of the most consistent people in Taylor’s life. Not only did she visit the (many) colleges Taylor went to, she ended up working with Taylor in Lawrence and has always been a source of connection. The laughter that comes with Catherine is quite contagious and so is her genuine spirit. Catherine is intentional in the way she checks in, thoughtful in the way she gives support, and is a damn good time. Whenever Catherine is around, there’s a youthful, nostalgic side that she brings out in Taylor. One of the very best qualities you can have in a friend is reliability. Catherine is an absolute rockstar at being that for Taylor.

Nick met Marcus at the rooftop pool deck of Stevens apartment the first night Nick, Steven, and Ross went out to the bars in Wichita. He made an immediate impression on Nick that when he told a story about when he got hit by lightning. He is a very kind a welcoming person and helped Nick get to know Wichita a little better. Having grown up there, he knew all the history and the good spots to go. Marcus was instrumental in helping Nick buy his house and sell Taylor’s old house and we are very grateful for that! He also moved into college hill shortly after Nick and Tay’s and it has been a blast living so close and being able to hangout more often.

Elliot and Hudson are Nick and Taylor’s niece and nephew. Taylor is Elliot’s Godmother. When Nick met Elliot, something Taylor admired was how Nick interacted with her. Elliot loves hanging out with Uncle Nick, and frankly, we don't blame her. About 6 months after Nick and Taylor met, Hudson was born. He was one of the first babies Nick held as an adult. Elliot and Hudson truly make any day better. Nick and Taylor enjoy reading books with them, playing games in the backyard, and hearing them laugh. Seeing them as they grow up is something that is cherished and having them in the wedding is so special.

Brooke is Nick’s oldest friend. They met in back in kindergarten and have been friends since then. Brooke has been an awesome friend to Nick through all the phases of his life and has quickly become a great friend to Taylor. Brooke lived with Nick and Tyler junior year of college and with Nick and Zach during senior year so she has so she has become very good friends with people Nick met later in life. It super awesome that someone Nick met when he was 6 is still in his life today and has accepted some of his best friends and hers as well. Brooke is one of the most kind and supportive people out there and Nick and Tay are both grateful she’s in their lives.

Ben, Brooke’s husband, is also one of Taylor’s first friends in Wichita. He is as welcoming as he is hilarious, fun as he is kind, and an overall joy of a person to know. Ben was one of the first of Taylor’s friends that met Nick, at Alzavino. Ben has been on many adventures with Taylor and the “gang gang”, and more recently with Nick joining too! He is a consistent source of belly laughs and helping others feel seen. Ben has been a role model to Taylor in what to look for in a partner by the way he treats his wife. We are so incredibly thankful for him.

Cole, Kaitlyn’s husband and Taylor’s brother-in-law has been in Taylor’s life since her Freshman year of high school. Recently, hanging out with Chris and Lara (our photographers) we played a game and the question Nick got was “who is a person that reminds you of me?” We all went around sharing and Taylor’s answer was that Nick has all the best qualities of Cole. He is kind, family-oriented, hard working, and thoughtful. Taylor got to grow up with amazing role models, one of which is Cole. We are so thankful to have Cole, Sis, Elliot, and Hudson in our lives. Knowing Cole for over half of Taylor’s life has been something to be wildly grateful for. Cole and Nick hit it off fairly quickly when Cole complimented how “jacked” Nick always looks. Nick and Cole’s relationship was very important to Taylor. It’s been great seeing it grow.

Ellie and Charlotte have known Taylor since they were born and Taylor has loved every moment of seeing them grow into the beautiful and kind women they are now. To be loved by Ellie and Charlotte is such a gift. They are exciting to be around, cheerful, goofy, and all the things you'd want in a friend that feels like a sister. They were quick welcome Nick and loved asking questions (mostly about flying or his cool friend, Zach). Ellie and Charlotte have both made some of the kindest comments about Nick and Taylor's relationship. We are thankful to have them in our lives and for them to be the first welcoming faces at the wedding.
