When Do I Need to RSVP By?
Please RSVP by July 7. If you do not RSVP, we'll assume you are not coming, and cannot promise to accommodate you.
What's the dress code?
Dressy casual for our ceremony and reception! Please don’t wear jeans, t-shirts, cargo shorts/pants, or athletic wear. If you’re struggling to choose a look, don’t hesitate to ask. We’d love to help you feel your best!
When should I arrive for the ceremony?
The ceremony begins at 4 p.m. Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive, park, and walk to the ceremony location at the Group Camp.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we're unable to provide every guest with a plus one. If you received a plus one, they will be included in your RSVP form.
Are my children welcome?
Yes! We've included your children in our guest list. Please be sure to note in your RSVP if you are bringing them.
Transportation and Lodging FAQs
Where should I park?
There is limited parking at the group camp. Please carpool if you can. Once we confirm an overflow parking location with the park, we will update you!
Is there access to public transportation and ride share?
No. There is no public transportation or Uber available. Allegany State Park and the surrounding areas are very car dependent. Please plan accordingly and carpool if you can.
What's the best airport to fly into?
We suggest flying into Buffalo, NY. It is about a 1.5 hour drive from Buffalo to Allegany State Park.
Do you have a hotel block?
No. Please feel free to book lodging wherever you feel most comfortable. You can find hotel suggestions on our Lodging page, or book an Airbnb near Salamanca, NY.
Venue FAQs
What do I need to know about the venue?
Our venue is Group Camp 12 within Allegany State Park. Our ceremony will be outdoors within the campground, weather permitting. The cocktail hour and reception will be held in the camp's mess hall.
Where are the restrooms located?
There is one flush toilet and two pit toilets at the venue. The flush toilet will be reserved for the bridal party, guests with accessibility needs, and our vendors. We will give our best effort to ensure the pit toilet facilities are clean and comfortable. Please plan accordingly.
Do I have to pay to get into the park?
If you're arriving the day of the wedding, your entry fee will be covered on us! If you plan to arrive early and enjoy the park, there may be a $7, cash-only fee.
Sleepaway Camp FAQs
Do I have to stay at the Group Camp if I've been invited to camp?
No. We'd love to have everyone together, but there's no expectation to stay at the Group Camp. If you wish to stay elsewhere, please be sure to note in your RSVP.
Are tents allowed at the Group Camp?
No. The park does not permit tent camping nor RVs within the Group Camp. Should you prefer to tent camp or bring an RV, please book a site on the park's website.
If I'm invited to camp, what do I need to pack?
A packing list will be sent out with your formal invitations.
However, bedding is the most important item to bring with you. If you are traveling far and cannot bring bedding, please let us know as soon as possible.
