Tess and Tyler met at James Madison University's Swing Dance Club in 2018. After a year of passing each other in the halls of the Integrated Science and Engineering building, they became dance partners in the Fall of 2019.

They moved to Arlington, Virginia in early 2023, where they got engaged that summer. They have a golden retriever named Suki (and many houseplants). Tess works as a policy analyst at a climate and energy nonprofit, and Tyler works as a civil engineer in DC. They like to attend swing dances at Glen Echo Park when they have a live band play.

They are very excited to get married in October of 2024, and can't wait to celebrate with their friends and family.
