We registered primarily at Bloomingdale’s and Williams Sonoma. We have also provided a link to replacements.com to help us add place settings to a family silver set.
I WOULD PREFER TO GIVE ANDREW AND THERESA MONEY IN LIEU OF A GIFT. IS THAT POSSIBLE?
Any gift you give is so generous and appreciated! Gifts can be sent through Zelle or by check. Please use Andrew’s cell phone (757) 710.6478 for Zelle.
WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?
Attire is Black Tie (men wear a tuxedo and women wear a floor-length gown).
WHAT TIME DOES YOUR CEREMONY START?
Our ceremony at Old St. Patrick's Church will start promptly at 5:00PM. We ask that all guests arrive at least 15 minutes early to secure your seat in the church. If you are running behind, you will be asked to sit in the balcony (which can be accessed by the staircases on either side of the gathering space) to watch the ceremony. The doors will not reopen until the ceremony has concluded.
HOW DO I GET FROM OLD ST. PATRICK’S CHURCH TO THE UNIVERSITY CLUB OF CHICAGO?
Our venue is exactly one (1) mile east of the church - if you hit Lake Michigan you’ve gone too far! For your convenience, please call an Uber or Lyft at the end of Mass or schedule one ahead of time (Catholic Masses typically last an hour). For those driving to our wedding, Old St. Patrick’s Church offers parking at 625 West Adams. Valet parking is available at the University Club of Chicago. In addition, there are multiple self-park garages available nearby.
CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?
Plus ones are noted on your formal invitation as You + “Guest”. Please refer back to your invitation.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
Children related to the bride and groom will be the only ones invited to all events leading up to and including our wedding. We highly encourage you to secure a sitter ASAP and use this night as a time to enjoy yourselves and celebrate!
WHERE SHOULD I STAY?
We have selected two hotel blocks close to The University Club in the Loop. Please refer to the Travel Section of our website for block information and reservations. Of course, there are several options when it comes to hotels in Chicago at a variety of price points. If you are not staying at one of our blocks, we highly suggest you stay in the Loop, River North, or the Near North Side (many hotels in the Near North Side refer to themselves as the Mag Mile).
I AM FLYING INTO CHICAGO. HOW DO I GET DOWNTOWN?
Ubers/Lyfts and cabs are easily available from the airport. In Chicago, cabs are generally cheaper and can be hailed in the cab lines near baggage claim. The EL Blue Line train (CTA) runs directly to the airport-approximately 42 minutes to the Loop (from O’Hare) and the EL Orange Line runs 32 minutes (from Midway to the Loop). During rush hour, the train is very often the best option to avoid traffic on the Kennedy or Stevenson expressways.
