Yep. Party on Saturday. Ceremony and cake/punch reception on Sunday.
Why?
Because we want everyone to be able to have fun at the party on Saturday. A reception after the ceremony on Sunday just wouldn't have the same vibe.
What do I wear to the party on Saturday?
Aggravating answer: Whatever makes you happy
Longer answer: Cocktail or similar attire would be appropriate. If you want to go a little fancier, be our guest (see what I did there?). If you have something in your closet you've been dying for the chance to wear, go for it.
What do I wear to the ceremony on Sunday?
What you would typically wear to church will suit this well.
So, I have this dress/outfit that I was thinking of wearing, it's not really white, it's more of an ivory or maybe a cream...
Let me stop you right there. Wear white. Wear ivory. Wear cream. Wear whatever makes you happy!
What's a cake and punch reception?
It's a short reception where will we have dessert and soft drinks. It's a get together after the ceremony, but not a full reception. A meal will not be served.
How far is the cake/punch reception from the ceremony?
Less than .2 miles. If you wear sensible shoes, it's easily walkable.
