Andrew and Tia initially met on New Year’s Eve of 2018. Tia’s family had rented a cabin for the Holiday, and Andrew was invited to hang out for a couple of hours since he was a family friend. Andrew and Tia talked a little bit that night, and both seemed to have a lasting impression on each other.

Within the year of 2019, Andrew and Tia lived only about 20 minutes away from each other. During this time, Andrew and Tia would often chat on social media, but nothing ever seemed to come of it. If you ask Andrew, he’ll tell you that Tia wouldn’t give him the time of day.

Flash forward to December of 2021, Andrew was sitting in the Tampa airport, swiping away on Tinder, when he saw Tia’s profile. He swiped right. The next day, Tia was getting ready to go Christmas shopping, also scrolling through Tinder, where she saw Andrew. She swiped right and messaged Andrew. Andrew and Tia chatted throughout the day and later on, Tia had bought a rather large present for her mother. Tia could not lift this item into her home. Tia messaged Andrew and told him that if he brought this item into her home, they could go get dinner. Andrew and Tia FINALLY had their first date.

Andrew decided he was going to propose in the spring of 2023. He knew he wanted to pop the question later that year, in the fall. October came around, and Tia’s family had planned to do family pictures on their family farm. The pictures were going like any other set of family pictures, until Tia was told to turn around. When she turned around, Andrew was on one knee. Tia immediately said yes.
