Things to Do

Jetski (Sams Top Pick Activity)

Sam's top pick activity in the Kelowna area is to rent a jetski from the marina at the Eldorado Resort (you don't have to be staying there, but there's a small discount if you are) and explore Okanagan Lake!

Go Paddle Boarding (Tiegans top pick)

Tiegan's top pick activity (if you can't be on a boat or jetski) is to rent paddle boards and explore the lake that way! You can rent them from the Kelowna Paddle Center (we haven't personally rented from here, but we have heard good things!).

Hit the Beach

Nothing better to do on a sunny Kelowna day than hit the beach (unless you have a jetski or a boat ... then that's way better). Sarsons and Rotary are nice beaches in town, and Bertram Creek Regional Park is a personal fave, but it's a bit out of town.

Taste some Wine

There are tons of wineries to explore! West Kelowna has a lot of the well-known go-to spots (Missionhill, Quails Gate, Frind, The Hatch). We highly recommend exploring some of the smaller wineries in South Kelowna for a more local experience. Some of our faves are Vibrant Vine (for a fun 3D experience), Mirabel Vineyards, the View Winery & Vineyard, and Soma Craft Cider (for cider). Summerhill is also close by too!

Taste some Beer

In addition to being a wine haven, Kelowna is also turning into a bit of a brewery hotspot too. Red Bird Brewing, Vice & Virtue, and Rustic Reel are all fun and relatively close to each other if you want to try some out.

Hike up Knox Mountain

A Kelowna classic; hike or drive up Knox Mountain for a view of the city.

Take a walk through the Bird Sanctuary

The Bird Sanctuary is a lakeside boardwalk that Tiegan and her friends used to spend lots of time at (ifyky). It's formally known on google maps as Maude Roxy Wetland.

Eat some food

Some of our favourite restaurants are:

- Central (for casual fare)

- Train Station Pub is also delish

-JOEY Kelowna if you are staying out in that area

- The Curious Cafe is great for pizza

- La Bussola for fine Italian Dining

-Old Vines Restaurant at Quails gate is 10/10 but very hard to get a reservation

- The eldorado has a great happy hour

-Skinny Dukes for drinks

-BNA if you are looking for a cultural Kelowna experience
