Our Story

How two, decided to become one: Our Love Story

Our first date was at the Lincoln hotel, for a secluded rooftop dinner. We were literally the only two there that night.

In the car, Chris coincidentally played one of Tiffany's favorite songs, by her favorite bands. She asked him; “What do you know about the internet”? Chris confidently responded, “Girl, I know about allllll music! Lol.

Let's go on a long journey about how we met.

Rewind: How did Christopher and Tiffany meet? We both Swiped Right! Via a dating app. Despite spending years living near one another, visiting the same local spots, and having mutual contacts, Tinder brought us together.

Tiffany and Christopher spent years in Chicago frequenting the same neighborhood shops;(Roseland), high school football games, while in adulthood, a few of the nightclubs. However, somehow they never ran into each other. Tiffany worked a remote job where she visited Christopher's office to do monthly assessments. The two still had not run into each other. Finally, one day, it happened - Christopher ran right into Tiffany on a five-inch phone screen and his jaw dropped.

They engaged in conversation and decided to exchange numbers. Within the first week they came across each other, they arranged to meet. In the fall of November 2016, Christopher took a screenshot of Tiffany’s profile and shared it with a close friend, for safety reasons initially and also because he wasn’t sure if he was being “Cat-Fished”. He couldn’t believe she was a real person, beautiful with very similar interests as himself.

In Tiffany's profile she acquired someone who was genuinely a kind-hearted giving person, like herself. Along with someone who would share her love for spontaneous traveling, 90s R-n-B and a sincere devotion to God. Weeks of local brunches, dinner dates, and visits to church led to taking a 7-day 3 country cruise 4 months into them dating. Christopher was a complete gentleman, which made Tiffany feel safe, many miles from home. Praying over each other every time they parted ways, spoke volume on the direction they wanted to go in there relationship. Two years together, we were assured that this was God answering those prayers. Realizing what it felt like to love someone outside your own family. It was intoxicating!

Before the 2020 shutdown, Christopher surprised Tiffany with that spontaneous traveling experience she mentioned in her profile years before. If it were a book, it would be titled: “Our World Tour”. We started our trip in Los Angeles, feeling like celebrity status; luxury shopping, exploring, and, of course, a bit of partying. We flew to Las Vegas, for shows, excursions, and a lot more fun! A jet ride to Austin, for some great eats, sightseeing, and a memorable visit to Chris's wonderful cousin. A bus ride to Houston, TX. Honestly, at this point, Tiffany is in awe, but a bit confused, along with the close friends she shared this with. Thoughts of “what's happening are we running from the law or something, and I don't even know it, LOL”? However, it was an exciting experience spending time with Christopher's family and enjoying solely each other's company and the curiosity of what every single stop had in store for us.

A fun drive to New Orleans, LA; November 2019 in NOLA we explored the city all day. That evening we went to The Corner Oyster House for some popular New Orleans cuisine, where we walked hand in hand to Café Du Monde (for some desperately needed Beigents). We took a night stroll after pastries and coffee along The Riverwalk, located on the Mississippi River, and a beautiful musical carriage ride back to Old 77 hotel, where we went to an art exhibit. We casually discussed a lifestyle built around nights like this. Honestly, the evening seemed to take its time, we had been traveling and moving around so much, and that night was slow and perfect. Christopher displayed an overwhelming level of excitement and a lot of nervousness.

Rewind: Before we left for the evening, I witnessed him standing in the hotel bathroom mirror in my blue silk robe, reciting something to himself; I didn't think much of it because I knew my man. He does that; it's normally a little football, get your head in the game pep talk; lol.

While at the exhibit, Chris explained in detail how there was no other person he could see exploring life with. He informed me if I loved him as half as much as he loved me, we could do things like this forever. Christopher removed a ring he’d gotten me a year prior, got on one knee, and proposed. We were engaged! Just us, so special, personal and just right.

Fast-forward, that trip shined a light on many blessings to come. Returning, we found out we were becoming parents; quarantining together, awaiting baby Colsten, and truly being grateful for all the love and support from all our families and friends.

We have shared many wonderful memories alongside each other, and we are excited to create an everlasting love story, worth Swiping Right for!
