Although we walked the same high school halls, we were not high school sweethearts. We were more like distant strangers. We knew each other's names, and even knew some of the same people but never crossed paths. I guess you would say it wasn't our time.

Years passed by, and we began to follow each other on social media. We finally broke silence and started communicating. We would casually check in on one another. Neither one of us was actually looking to start a new relationship. We both were starting a new chapter . One day it all changed. We went on a lunch date to Cava and the dynamic of our friendship shifted. The conversation changed. The actions and the way we felt towards each other all changed. We became inseparable. We began to see each other in a different light.

We took our time to relearn each other. Not holding on to what we use to know about one another in our high school years. We began to reteach each other and learn what true love is, and how we wanted to be love. Each day we grew not only as an individual, but also as a whole unit. We found out that we just balanced each other out. Every single day felt "right", and just made sense. A'Keem would always make it known, "that's my wife", but on August 18, 2024 he took the next step.

Almost two years later after dating, learning, trusting, counseling, communicating, loving, and building a family, we can finally share one of the greatest moments of our lives with all of you. we can not wait to be surrounded by all of the love and support on our special day. See you all in June!
