How did we meet?

The short answer is Bumble, a dating app.

The longer answer is way more fun. Tim and I had been messaging each other for a few days. I swiped right because his profile had a picture of him dressed as Bernie Sanders and I thought he was short. Tim swiped right because I'm hot.

We messaged back and forth for a few days and planned a date for a Tuesday night at the bar Halcyon on Greenville. I ended up having car trouble and had to reschedule for Friday, which Tim was more than accommodating about.

On Tuesday when we would have had our date originally, I took the DART train to work for the first and only time. (East Dallas to Grapevine was an hour long train ride and a 25 minute Uber.)

At the Mockingbird station, I looked up and saw a man in a purple gingham shirt reading a book. "Damn," I thought. "If only I took the DART more often, I could meet someone handsome like that." It was Tim, the man I had a date with on Friday, who I would become engaged to 5 years later.
